Absolutely worth the money I paid for it. I am a mania rhythm game player and I switched from razer greens to the black switch variant of this keyboard because I wanted to try linears and I loved the way this keyboard looks. It definitely feels very good quality and works great. Since this is my first keyboard that has fully customizable rgb effects, something I learned is that having complex rgb effect on can strongly effect input latency. It is better to remember to turn rgb effects off while gaming or at least only using something like steady or reaction. If you are unsure of the build quality and functionality of the keyboard, I can assure you it is good for this price and you wont find a better price for a keyboard with this aesthetic as far as my searching went. EDIT 5/24/21 It has been about half a year since I started using it and there are around 1.7 million presses on each of the keys I use for my rhythm game. Yesterday one of the switches broke during gameplay, which was sort of strange to me since it is far below the general amount of presses a mech switch should last. Could be a defect or something, so not really a deal breaker for me still since it has served me very well since I got it. The other keys are still doing fine and have higher key press numbers even, so it was probably some one off thing on a defective switch. To fix my problem, I simply moved my keybinds down one row so all is good! The key that broke is the semicolon, which I dont use much anyways, but I guess I was lucky it was a key I dont use much that was the defective one.

I was looking for a keyboard to replace the one I had been using with my work computer. The one my work originally gave me wasnt that good and since it is something I am on all day mostly writing code and I wanted something that was pleasant to type on, not particularly noisy and not too expensive since this was going to be mostly a work keyboard. The build is completely solid. When you lift it the keyboard has some pretty serious heft. The keys are not too loud but do have a satisfying click. I liked the orange replacement keys that came with it. They add a nice accent to the color scheme. The built in RGB is quite interesting. I am not a huge RGB guy really but having the red solid light on I find to be pretty nice. Its pretty simple to switch between modes and such. I havent messed with the software that supposedly allows you to do even more but I guess that exists if you search for it.

Update 03/20/22: Been using this for over a year now daily for at least 8 hours a day and typing for the majority of those hours. No issues have developed and no complaints. I switched to mechanical keyboards years ago after realizing how much I type and how much more comfortable I could be. Lately, though, keyboards are bent over backwards into the gamer scene and taking one of those to the office is a little much. This oozes nostalgic style for an era that I did not really participate in but is still a solid memory for me and the others in the office. I constantly get asked if I found the keyboard in some old forgotten storage shed and the red/orange keys they include make it look like I am typing on an old mainframe/greenscreen keyboard. The sound is super satisfying without being obnoxious (Im looking at you greens) and the lights can be turned off completely with keyboard commands and stay off once you do it once. There is a tilt to the keys which takes about a day to get used to but your brain will take care of it with muscle memory (mine did anyway) and you will be typing with style and speed in no time.

I believe another reviewer wrote that he needed more beige in his life...he was absolutely right. This is my first venture into mechanical keyboard territory since a time when mechanical keyboards were the only ones you could actually buy. This thing is awesome. I love typing on it. It has tremendous heft and feels very sturdy. This thing is not going to move around on any surface as you type. The LEDs are pretty cool too and have full RGB which sort of ripple across the keys. I am sure there is a way to control them but I am just playing around with it now so I havent figured that out yet. I went with the Blue switches which provide a lot of clickiness and sound. You can read about the differences in Red, Blue, Brown and Black or look on YouTube and there are plenty of folks who have uploaded videos demonstrating the sound these switch produce--just look up Cherry MX switch sound stuff should pop up. At any rate, here is what I would say. If youre in deep enough that you care about something like a mechanically switched keyboard vs a membrane...youll probably be very happy with this brand. Like I said, this is my first time out since these things were standard and this keybaord feels exactly the way I would expect it to. I also love the retro style on this too. It is very very beige.

Keeping it short and simple but the keyboard is good the only thing Im confused about it how do I keep the lights on the keyboard to stay on?

I see other people say its too loud, and too heavy. Yes the keyboard is loud did you not read about what you were buying. That is what you get from most mechanical keys. Its a selling point for me. I want the clicking, it reminds me of the keyboards I used in the late 80s and early 90s So if you are looking for a modern keyboard that looks like and sounds like an old 8088 keyboard this is pretty close. It isnt as heavy as those old 8088 keyboards were like 7 lbs or more. But this one goes click click click very nicely and has a good selection of back lighting. I use mine to clack out code and it is very satisfying. The board also includes redish orange key caps for your space, enter, and esc keys. In short I love the look, I love the feel, and I love the weight. Its not a light piece of junk. I purchased this as a replacement for my very old Logitec G15. If I could say one improvement Id like to see is a wireless version with a good size battery that lasts for days of constant use. I dont mind the extra weight, and I would like to not have to worry about cable management as I type with the keyboard on my lap.

Not overly a gamer keyboard. Its glows when you want it to or turn it off for a professional look. The keys are nice and responsive. Definitely punches up in quality could easily cost $20 more and be worth it.

First off, Im a clicky person. I love keyboards that make a nice loud click. The blue switches on this keyboard sound great and typing on it is really comfortable. I also really love the aesthetics of this thing. I wasnt expecting to enjoy the RGB as much as I do but I wound up really loving the way this thing lights up and seeing all the different color options available. My only gripes are there is no instructions and the cord could be a bit longer for my purposes. I knocked a point off for the lack of instructions.

I have been using this keyboard for over three months now. I mainly bought this as a replacement to my old keyboard (and maybe for the retro IBM model M styling). As Ive used it, I have learned that the SA keycaps are very comfortable for typing. However, there is a small amount of adapting to playing video games with the height of the keyboard (although, it is not too hard). The sound the AK510 makes is great with the combination of blue switches and PBT keycaps. The AK510 works flawlessly since I have bought it, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a durable mechanical keyboard that has that IBM Model M styling.
