When I think of a 5 star keyboard the bar is already at a high level set by RedDragon, for $40-$50 you get a solid keyboard with perfect size and heavy weight, great keys and Cherry mx blue caps for that clickity clack satisfaction. That being said this keyboard is no slouch either but for the price $80 + taxes and fees etc.... I find it difficult to understand why you cant afford to throw in some MX Cherry Blues or at least offer another keyboard at a higher cost for this. The imitation blues arent bad, but comparing them side by side - its just isnt the same, not even close. They do offer a bit of a clickity clack but if youve been typing on Cherrys for a moderate amount of time you will know exactly what I mean. Other than that I am really happy with this keyboard, its retro just the way I remember my first PC being back in 1995 watching the movie hackers and pausing the scene were Angelina Jolie show tiddies. The LED lights are awesome, giving it a modern twist and allowing me to see shit in the dark because we are nerds and the lights above burn our eyes. Its definitely a solid keyboard and built well but I cant help but think of all the ways it could be better. Like the keycaps are really just a disappointment because that right there would make this a 5 star keyboard. What would really put it over the top is having a pewter base/center with a painted steel/aluminum or metal frame. Something to think about guys. If you are looking for a retro keyboard this one will satisfy, it is still really good.

Ive really enjoyed using the AKJAZZ AK510 keyboard for the week Ive had it so far. This really does feel like an older-style keyboard in terms of the typing mechanism, and its really responsive while not being insanely loud. I chose the Brown Switches model because Ive had them on other mechanical keyboards, but these are the best Ive used yet! Definitely worth it! This review was typed on the keyboard in question, actually. Pros: - Cool RGB lighting presets and customization options - Font is crisp and legible even without backlight - Not overly noisy (good for sleeping parents) - Comes with an extra set of bright orange keycaps for certain major keys (Spacebar, ESC, etc.) that reference the Dino game from when Chrome goes offline Cons: - None yet!

The Ajazz AK510 is simply a superb keyboard all around. Some things that stand out to me: DESIGN - The retro grayscale look of this keyboard is really easy on the eyes and brings me back to the days of DOS gaming in the early 90s. The keys themselves are very tall and feel good to press. Each key feels slightly wobbly in place, but for me that isnt an issue and doesnt get in the way of the satisfying tactile feel of typing, but worth noting in case thats a problem for other people. It also comes with an orange version of the ESC, ENTER & SPACE keys, along with a key removing tool. I personally like the full grayscale look, but the option to put in some orange keys is nice. HEFT - This keyboard is much heavier than I thought it would be, and I love it. It feels solidly built and wont slide around on your desk. As with most keyboard, it has 2 foldable flaps on the back you can use to angle the keyboard up more. SOUND - I originally got the model with the Blue switches, and it was very very loud and clicky. I actually really liked the way it sounded and was super satisfying to type on, but I was worried about it being so loud that it would bother my wife in the other room or even my neighbors. I eventually returned it and swapped it out for the quieter Brown switch model, which is a perfect compromise of still providing a tactile feedback without the extra click you get from the Blue switches. COLORS - I bought the keyboard mostly for the retro grayscale look, but I was pleasantly surprised how fantastic the RGB color options are. Maybe its something about the fact that its a grey keyboard and not dark black, but the colors are super bright and vibrant and really amazing looking. There are 10 or so different preset modes, and you can tweak the speed & brightness to fit your needs. There are also 5 completely customizable gaming slots you can use to customize the RGB layout for different games. You can also opt to not use any RGB colors at all, but in my opinion this keyboard really shines with color options enabled. FINAL THOUGHTS - I dont usually write product reviews, but Ive been so fired up about this thing in the week since I got it that I just had to share my thoughts on it. If you like the look of this keyboard, you cant go wrong with this thing. Just make sure to look into the difference between the Blue Switch (LOUD) and Brown Switch (quieter) version because they are significantly different. The RGB color modes are amazing looking and Im actually excited to type on this thing any chance I get. Maybe I need to become a writer...

I LOVE this board. Somehow I ordered the Blue switches on accident when inventory was limited (meant to get the Browns, oops!) but they do have a nice loud clicky sound and precise input. There is also a slight spring recoil sound when they come back up after being pressed, which may annoy some, but I dont mind it. Maybe the browns dont make that sound, I dont know for sure. The board itself is very heavy and sturdy feeling, and the RGB is SUPER bright! Rubber feet are nice, and the kick-stands have rubber on them too which is great. The keycaps are small, and perhaps a little flimsy, but you can always replace them down the road if you so wish. Overall, its a great mechanical keyboard for the price, and the look is perfect for us retro nerds. You nailed it, thanks Ajazz! p.s. The keycaps alone could probably go for $50-$100 on this keyboard. Its nice to see such a nice set of keycaps on this board. I returned the board and picked up a buckling spring keyboard from Unicomp, but honestly, this board had better quality control right out the box, it just cant compete with the good ole buckling spring keyboard. This is a great beginner keyboard for people who are new to the mechanical keyboard hobby and want something that looks and feels slightly retro (but also weirdly modern at the same time).

Update 03/20/22: Been using this for over a year now daily for at least 8 hours a day and typing for the majority of those hours. No issues have developed and no complaints. I switched to mechanical keyboards years ago after realizing how much I type and how much more comfortable I could be. Lately, though, keyboards are bent over backwards into the gamer scene and taking one of those to the office is a little much. This oozes nostalgic style for an era that I did not really participate in but is still a solid memory for me and the others in the office. I constantly get asked if I found the keyboard in some old forgotten storage shed and the red/orange keys they include make it look like I am typing on an old mainframe/greenscreen keyboard. The sound is super satisfying without being obnoxious (Im looking at you greens) and the lights can be turned off completely with keyboard commands and stay off once you do it once. There is a tilt to the keys which takes about a day to get used to but your brain will take care of it with muscle memory (mine did anyway) and you will be typing with style and speed in no time.

Im satisfied with this purchase overall. It was my first time purchasing a keyboard and thought it was a bit pricey but it was worth it. I got the white/blue one, it looks cute and like the lighting options. Just one small thing is, wish it was a bit quieter...BUT I know some people like this type of sound/feel!

I got it after stumble upon a review during Prime Day from a blog. Even though it was not part of the Prime day special, I went ahead with the purchase because of the reasonable price. I have a 3rd party brown switches keyboard (not Cherry MX). I thought I would try to Red switches from AJAZZ. After a week of usage I can tell you I like it a lot as an office keyboard. The keys are not as responsive as the brown keyboard due to the lack of tactile feedback, but it also generates a lot less noise. So Im pretty happy not to annoy anyone in my office with a clicky keyboard. The travel takes a little bit to get used to compare to a membrane keyboard. But once i get used to it it is a pleasure to use. The volume knob at the top right corner double as the backlight brightness control. Talking about the asthetics. I like the option of removable bezel cover (blue). In the end, I keep the light blue cover to give the light blue look. It give a very clean look on a white table surface, which is what I have at work. The overall asthetics is easy looking with the light color, while it doesnt shout out for additional attention. The plastic they use feels good to the touch as well. I wold defintely recommend this keyboard, along with other colors from the same seires, if you are looking to spend just a little bit of money to update your office without drawing too much attention.
