So, this thing is pretty nice. But STUPID thick. I have to keep my wrists elevated the entire time Im typing which not only lowers my WPM, but also is an non-optimal position and will cause repetitive stress injuries. Its just plain uncomfortable. Going to have to get a wrist elevator to go with it. The software is super hard to find, but works well. Not many options, which is fine. I dont really care about RGB. I just wanted to setup macros. Overall this thing is about a 7/10. Ive used way better. But Ive also used way worse. $80 is expensive for what you get.

So I do genuinely like this keyboard, I think it is a good product. However, theres a few things that bug me that I wish were different... but of course, theyre not enough to make me return it. Ill definitely hold onto this one! But first, I do not like the glossy/shiny surface behind the keycaps. IMO it would look much better (and more classic looking) if it were smooth, and a matte finish like the rest of the board. Another minor issue for me, is the strange setup for multimedia functions using the FN key. They exist, but I still have yet to figure out how to map a next-track/previous-track on the F keys. And yes, I do have the software. But yeah, overall a nice keyboard. Will be buying some retro themed keycaps though the keycaps it comes with are quite nice already, just not a huge fan of the gamer-y font. Mine also did come with the extra red keycaps, which Ive seen that some dont, which is odd. So I guess I got lucky with mine!

I havent had mechanical keyboard ever and its my first one, so my review will be a bit subjective. I couldnt decide to buy or not to buy mechanical keyboard due price, sound (I supposed I am not going to like it, because I didnt know how great it sounds). But when I decided to buy it, Ive been looking for great keyboard under 100$ and this one looks like the best option, so I bought it. First of all, I very like it for retro look, its make my soul warm. Typing with this keyboard is very pleasant as well as sound. As Ive said before sound is very pleasant and I wanna say a bit more about it. It sounds likewise when ping-pong ball knocks to the ground. Someone might says it sound like typewriter, but I havent heard it ever. I very like tactile sensations while typing, because I literally feel every moment when I press the button and character appears on the screen, its very helpful if you are type very much or everyday (programmers, writters, etc), because on every press you are getting feedback. Keyboard looks durable enough and build quality as I can see is very worthy. Also theres some shortcuts for media like increase/decrease volume, mute and pause/play its very helpful. LED backlight good enough too, but I was a little disappointed because theres no control for brightness of backlight. Overall, I am very happy with keyboard, I hope it will work for years.

When I ordered this I had no idea what it meant by picking blue or red or black or whatever switches. I mused aloud, “What is a blue switch or a red switch?” My teenaged son overheard me and thought I was asking him, so he answered me. Apparently the different types of switches are parts of the keys on the keyboard. The color of the switch is what makes a keyboard clicky or quiet or smooth, etc. He happened to have a few samples from when he bought himself a gaming keyboard that I could test out. I opted for the blue switches because they make a wondrous clicky sound and have that old-school feel to them that I remember from back in the 80s in school learning how to do “word processing” in my computer class. It’s like the key bounces back up as you type, instead of being mushy like standard keyboards often are nowadays. When I bought they keyboard I also didn’t realize that it lights up!!!! And you can change the colors of the lights—solid colors or rainbow colors, etc. And you can also make the lights still or twinkly (like Christmas lights.) There are lots of different options for how they’ll twinkle. Anyhoo, I’m a technical writer at my job and so I type a lot. I am happy and content when I’m typing all day on my clicky keyboard. It makes me smile. I work from home so the clicking doesn’t bug anyone like it might in an office with cubicles. It’s April and I’ve had it since Christmas and it’s still going strong. Other keyboards that I looked at had letters that customer reviews said could rub off, but since this is a lightup keyboard, the letters are “scraped” (for lack of a better term) into the key, so that the light comes through, and you can’t rub off something that’s already scraped clear on the keyboard.

I was looking for a 90s aesthetic keyboard to bring together a vaporwave theme in my room. This thing is great! Its a good mechanical keyboard that looks retro until you turn it on. Love this thing

Ive been using this keyboard for the past few days and so far its been an awesome experience! The typing experience is enjoyable and the tactile nature of the switches and keys has been a pleasure to use. Ive had some difficulty in figuring out how to get a static light effect with the board, though, I feel confident I can figure out how to do this with some research online. The board comes with a little set of instructions, but does not explicitly mention a static light mode. One element that I wish was present with this product, or, as something that could be purchased separately, would be a wrist/palm rest attachment. My previous mech board had this and I really enjoyed that element of that product. Otherwise, I have no complaints regarding this keyboard and look forward to the next few years wherein Ill be using it as my daily driver.

I mean come on, if youre looking at this theres a reason youre not going with corsair or Logitech, but youre still hoping this is a decent mechanical keyboard right? Well it is, functionally it works well, this is my first blue switch board, but it feels nice. I havent personally tried the software but keyboard commands for switching the rgb works well, decent amount of options, but again if youre buying this board for rainbow effects, well I guess you can do what you want, I just set it to solid green, looks good with the retro style. It feels good, pretty decent build quality. Honestly no major issues I can see after a month of using it. It looks great, would be an awesome addition to a sleeper build or just for something different than your typical gamer aesthetic.

It was a little loud to my ears at first, but I think thats just because Id been using the keyboard built into my old macbook to primarily type when I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a monitor, keyboard and mouse for a more comfortable set up. Im not a gamer by any means, so I cant say if its good for that. What it is good for is incredibly fast and accurate typing and a great clickety-clackety noise that reminds me of being in keyboarding class in 5th grade, learning how to type for the first time. Also, I can type on it for quite a long time and never notice any fatigue in my hands or wrists, so long as Im positioned well otherwise. If you are worried that with the aesthetics of the late 80s early 90s might also come the sticky and heavy keys of old as well, worry not.. The aesthetics of this keyboard are what first drew me to it amongst all the options, because one minute it looks like it came straight out of IBM in the late 80s and the next its lit to your custom specs and like something out of a retro-futuristic confusion of a movie. I love it, its perfect.

Absolutely love the blue, got it for a cinnamoroll desktop build and it looks amazing. Great durability and I like that the volume can be adjusted with the turner in case I have the volume too loud and have to scramble to fix it. I love that this key board has a number pad even if it takes up more space. 10/10 would buy again, and will be eventually getting the other colors
