Reasonable price for tried and true kids gift. Granted, it isnt as heavy as the one from my youth (never mind that era) which makes it easier to handle, maneuver, and potentially keep it from becoming a weapon while the tot flings it around (hahaha). The string attaching the drum stick is too short to get solid sound on xylophone - probably to avoid a strangulation hazard. I removed the drum stick from the string which allows for better sound. You can always reattach if tot wants to drag it around in the wheels. Nice gift!!

I bought this for my Granddaughter but as her father opened it everyone had flash backs of having one as a child. This toy was passes around for hours playing it. Turned out to be my Granddaughters favorite gift.

Bought this toy as an Easter gift for our 10 month old granddaughter. She loves hitting the xylophone keys which make a pretty noise, but gets frustrated because the short cord pulls the mallet out of her hand. I know they made the cord short for safety reasons, but it makes the mallet practically unusable. We will be cutting the mallet free and attach a longer cord so she can actually pull the xylophone around now that she is walking.
