This is a cute and well made toy. It’s a classic. However, the string is 8” long; ridiculously short. It can’t comfortably reach the keys at the far end. What is the point in a musical toy that can’t be played? We will have to lengthen the string before gifting it. Not happy.

This is a classic toy which every family should have. Its solidly built and the notes are accurate. My one year old son likes to bang on it and we like to play on it just as much. Only gripe is I wish the string that is attached the stick is couple of inches longer. It barely reaches the far plate, and hinders you from playing more comfortably. We ended up attaching another string to make it longer.

great classic toy modernized. sturdy, well built. only issue is the cord is super short & it annoyed my tot. made it hard for him to hit the keys as he didnt have much range. once I untied the stick from the cord he preferred it that way. btw unless your baby is really short there is no way this is being used as a pull toy. my guy is tall for a one year old but even if he were an average sized baby I dont see how that would work. overall he loves it & so do i

I bought for my granddaughter when she was 9 months old. She enjoyed it when someone would play it for her, but did not quite yet understand it. She would just bite on the hammer. Within a month of observing adults playing it for her, she learned to play it. She giggles whenever she hears it and has the best time. I wish the string attached to the hammer was about an inch longer, but other than that is a perfect toy.

Super cute & fun! The only aggregation both my son I have is the string. Its attached from the xylonphone to the plastic stick. Its super short even for a toddler making it annoyingly diffilicult to play. We are constantly twisting and rearranging our hand to play with it. No the string isnt detachable unless you decide to cut it yourself- homemade style.

I was disappointed in this toy. I believe it’s been around a long time and you expect better from Fisher Price. It had very poor sound and the instrument to hit it with was so close to the toy that you could barely play it. Returned.

I got this for my Grand son for his 2 nd Birthday. His very much into musical instruments already , and when he saw this he immediately just started playing it!! This is a great , easily understandable fun gift for a young child. I’m sure he’ll have lots of fun with it!

I know that you have to keep children safe and can’t have the string too long, but it must be long enough to actually play it. It’s kind of isn’t :( but removed the string and my grandson enjoys it.

Excellent for 12 month old. Good pull toy/pull behind while walking.

The Fisher-Price Classic Xylophone pull toy has 8 colorful keys to encourage early music-making creativity, helping toddlers develop a sense of accomplishment. And as their musical abilities grow, mini maestros can follow the colors to create a real song! The mallet’s attached so it never gets lost. And it’s on wheels so toddlers can walk and pull their musical instrument wherever they go!
