The adhesive isn’t the strongest but the glass was pretty easy to install

I carefully followed all of the directions and despite this care this product does not work. The home button is functioning but there is no screen function (e.g., swipe and tap). As a reference point I have successfully replaced screens and batteries in numerous 5 and 6 iPhones; so this is not my first time doing something like this. Very disappointing - and impossible to revert because removing the previously cracked (but still functioning) screen required me to take it off in pieces (again, as per the provided directions).

Bought this screen due to all of the excellent rating so far. Once it arrived, I was shocked to find how much stuff you actually received for the money. It comes with the digitizer/glass, bezel, button/bracket and a wifi/BT antenna that apparently gets destroyed very frequently when removing the old glass. Im not exactly sure how they can be making money at this price! I ended up not needing the wifi antenna, but used everything else that came with the kit. For those that havent done this particular repair before...be prepared to spend a good hour cleaning all the adhesive from every crack and crevice. If you do a poor job prepping, the adhesive will almost definitely fair early on, and every more annoying, you will not be able to get everything back tightly together. Reminds me of the age old adage of painting a car...90% preparation, 10% application. Stands true here as well! The glass/digitizer was perfect and had no issues with functionality. The bezel was almost a perfect fit and needed only minor repositioning. The corner of the bezel ended up breaking off somehow within 24 hours of the install, but that may have been from the pressure of the books that were placed on top of it to get the adhesive to seal. I dont believe it is affecting the glass, but time will tell. Overall, Id still give this a solid 5 stars for the money. We will see how it holds up, as Ive heard much talk about the 3rd party glass cracking easier. However, at this price, I dont think it really matters honestly. Costing nearly a 1/3 of what OEM glass does, you would have to go through 3 of these, and the OEM glass doesnt include ANYTHING but the glass/digitizer. Worth noting...after changing out the glass, I initially didnt get a picture. Had sound by not picture. Come to find out out, I had to do a hard reset which basically resets the software AND the hardware. After that, it was up and running again with no problems. If you experience this problem, hold the home and power button both for 10-15 seconds until the screen cycles on.

Wasnt as easy of a repair as I had hoped. Screen functions well after you get it installed properly, though!

This was super easy to use. I did it in around an hour. My kids broke it 3 days later (sigh). So I will be ordering another one and Im sure it will be much quicker to do it this time since I know what Im doing. I will also be ordering a heavy duty case and a screen protector. This was a much cheaper option than the $150 all the tablet repair people wanted to charge me.

This kit was pretty nice. It couldve had more guitar picks, but luckily I play guitar and had a bunch. This was my first iPad screen replacement. I watched the iCracked video on YouTube. In the video he says you have to break the edges while prying. This is completely untrue. I was able to get most of the screen off in one piece. Also, during my test run to see if it everything was working, half my digitizer was dead. Re-seating the digitizer cable fixed the problem. I recommend using a magnetic parts tray to hold the screws because they are really tiny. You can tell the screen isnt a stock Apple screen but at 20 bucks you cant beat it, the iPad 3 is really old now anyways, Im just glad it works.
