    Greater than one week

I’ve been replacing screen on all of my iDevices for over 9 years. This screen has a 1/2 inch dead spot across the Top section near the camera. I’ve never seen this before. I understand I get what I pay for but this is just poor quality control.

Even third party parts but works as well as OEM!

I purchased this because it had the home button included in the kit. I had to solely rely to on YouTube videos to figure out how to do it. The instructions included were through in some cases, but some things were very vague and the picture illustrations were impossible to see. Would be great if they could include a specific video link on a step by step walk through. Furthermore, my hold/sleep/wake up button only works for screenshots and powering down the device. Im reading more that there is a issue with the digitizer or flex cable from after market products. I might have

Sending back due to defect, did not come with any instructions either. I found a YouTube video and overall it was pretty easy. Got everything back together and home button would not work. Double checked all my work and still didn’t work. Will update after I get a replacement.

The instructions that were sent was a joke I did find a great YouTube video that helped out a lot, step by step. New screen works really good. The home button does feel a little goofy but everything else is fine. The home button is what everybody else is complaining about also in the reviews.

I have replaced several screens and this feels stronger than the other slightly cheaper companies. Very happy

Repairing a cracked iPad screen is not the easiest thing to do. However, with the included instructions and online videos it isn’t so bad. If you are having any trouble removing the old glass use more heat to loosen the adhesive. The touch screen itself looks good and responds very nicely to touch. However, it is slightly undersized leaving a noticeable gap on one side of the iPad after repair. The adhesive that came with this screen is not very high quality at all and I fear I may need to remove it to add in a higher quality solution. I have two sections that are not sticking very well. This is the reason I am only giving this screen 3 stars. Hopefully a good quality case that traps the iPad front and back will keep it functional for some time.

First, some of the tools that this was supposed to come with were missing. The instructions say youre supposed to have two suction cups and several picks, but there was only one of each. Then, I noticed that the Home button was a little bit loose, and one of the connectors for the digitizer had a red mark on it. I installed everything anyway, but neither the home button nor the touchscreen worked properly. The home button worked sporadically to start, but then just started acting as if it was permanently pressed. The touchscreen had large sections of the screen that simply didnt work. The red mark on the digitizer makes me think that this unit was tested and marked as defective, but got sold anyway. I bought a different screen from a different seller, and everything worked fine, so the problem was definitely with this unit. Luckily, Amazon let me return this one for a full refund.

Very disappointing, this screen never worked well (had dead spots that wouldn’t detect touch) and within the first 24 hours the home button broke (wobbles and spun within hits seat, no longer functioning. My husband is extremely meticulous about following instructions for things like this, so it is unlikely installation error, though possible. We purchased another replacement screen kit from another brand and so far it’s working very well.

The home button didn’t work, but because I bought it for a 5th generation 2017 iPad (not the one it’s technically made for) this is probably why it didn’t work-but I’m just guessing. I just re-used my home button, so it wasn’t an issue. The tools that come with this are great. It comes with things you didn’t realize you needed-but make the job easier and seem to be of a higher quality than most kits. The touch screen works perfectly, picture is perfect. He only thing is that this digitizer has a grid pattern visible when tilted a certain way, but doesn’t detract from the visuals in any way. Overall pretty good purchase and would buy again.
