This is my second of these screens. The first one shattered after a minor drop. The second one cracked as I was laying it onto the iPad. This is just not quality glass. Also the home button on this second screen is not seated right. I am very disappointed.

Seems to work fine. First time doing this. Make sure you test it out before adhering it. The home button didn’t work. Save your old home button and ribbon.

After reassembling the digitizer I found that the home button that was preassembled with this replacement digitizer didnt work. I managed to work around it by prying the original home button from the cracked digitizer (with the ribbon cable). However, I had some prior experience with fixing broken iPhone screens and Im unsure if the average consumer will be able to do so without ripping the home button ribbon cable while removing it from the cracked digitizer. In addition, I found it very hard to remove the adhesive clear film before closing the digitizer. The adhesive quality itself is also questionable and the assembled screen doesnt feel 100% sealed. Still giving it 2 starts because the rest of the installation went well, the digitizer size was good and the overall digitizer quality is decent.

Have gotten 2 of these screens. Neither ne stuck to the iPad well and the home button is horrible. The home button broke on the 1st one in 2 days. Got a replacement for the 1st one and will be returning for a refund the 2nd.

Very disappointing, this screen never worked well (had dead spots that wouldn’t detect touch) and within the first 24 hours the home button broke (wobbles and spun within hits seat, no longer functioning. My husband is extremely meticulous about following instructions for things like this, so it is unlikely installation error, though possible. We purchased another replacement screen kit from another brand and so far it’s working very well.

The first one I got one of the cables was broken, returned it and reordered. The second one, the cables were fine. I followed all the directions, Peeled the adhesive tabs off. Set it in the frame and lightly pressed the edges to seal the adhesive and it cracked. All that work for nothing.

Home button is becoming less responsive only after 2 months and sometimes I have to press it harder. The included instructions are not even for an ipad so they are useless. Check Youtube instead. The flex cable is different from the OEM cable as it has an extra section that you need to adhere to the screen forming a loop. See picture that I found on Youtube. If you dont do that, you risk damaging the flexible cable and result in ghost touches and dead areas.
