> 3 dayI have an FX4 needs 4 pads but box only comes with 3. If you need 4 pads than include 4 and charge a little more money

> 3 dayTheyre ok, I guess. I noticed a SLIGHT improvement in my water clarity. I have 4 fancy goldfish in a 110 gallon and I feed Repashy Super Gold, so my tank is pretty messy. Im running an FX4 was unhappy with the clarity of my water. I put a fresh water polishing pad in the filter weekly and rinse out the old one to re-use. The pads are not very durable and Ill probably only get 2 uses out of them before they disintegrate. They are fairly inexpensive though, so I MIGHT buy them again...I dont know. I ended up adding a separate water polishing filter and some Purigen and my water is finally clear enough to satisfy me.

> 3 dayWorks great I have two red eared sliders and a few fish in a 120 gallon tank, I use 2 of these filters in the top basket for getting the big stufd before moving onto my bio rings... My turtles are very messy eaters missing half the food they eat I swear and with this high output of a canister these keep right up with it, I use two of these in the top tray with carbon sock under them then middle tray is loaded with almost 3 boxes of bio rings, and bottom tray with 1 1/2 boxes of bio rings on top with 2 white pads (filter floss) on the bottom mainly to catch particles off of the biorings which put off ceramic sand for the first 2 months or so, I use the white ones now to keep my water crystal clear....love the pump.and.these blue pads! Ps... There is another seller on here who I have found that sells these in a generic for almost half the price same size thickness and structure just half price and without fancy boxing highly sugjest saving the few bucks ;-) have a good one

12-06-2025Buy off brand. I read reviews for others saying they were a tight fit and smaller holes. I bought these and they fit tight in FX4. They will do fine since they are made for the Fluval but next purchase will be another brand so I can save money.

Greater than one weekI was unaware of polishing water until I got my Fuval 206 canister filter. This is way too big for my canister (my bad) but I took scissors to it to make it fit. Water is very clear. The polisher does get mushy after a few months but no big deal to swap it out for a new one. Once this supply runs out I will look for the polisher specific to my Fuval 206! If none, it is no big deal to cut to shape.

> 3 dayIt is good and works perfectly fine in my FX5. It is a bit expensive though! It comes in a nice box but I dont mind buying the foam pads in a cheap bag if this would lower its price. Im throwing the box in the trash anyways.

> 3 dayA week after putting this filter in my FX4, turtle tank, I noticed the tank water was very dirty. Then noticed the flow was very low. The only thing I had done differently was change the Bottom black basket pad to one of these pads. So I checked it out, and the new pad was now FLAT and HARD! Nothing could pass through that! I wish I had taken a picture for this reveiw. Im pretty shocked at what happend. Ive been using the FX4 for a couple years with no issues. This pad says its compatible with the FX4 right on the box. There is No reason this should happen. I have to believe these are fakes, with material that isnt even appropiate for a filter.
