It works great. I was able to change out my old one with this one and no problems at all. It seems to be exactly like the original so I would say it is great. I have purchased some in the past and quality was not as great but this one is perfect.

It’s good

This product is sold specifically for the fx5, and yet only comes with half the needed pads. A bit misleading. The pads serve very little biological purpose in a properly set up canister, and when you do want to replace them, it makes most sense to do all of them. Someone simply shopping for pads for their fx5 would buy this product, but nowhere does it say youll need 2 boxes to get the appropriate number of pads. For what its worth - you can get your own coarse foam in sheets or rolls from the LFS, and cut it to size and save a ton over this stuff anyway.

A bit expensive

I was unaware of polishing water until I got my Fuval 206 canister filter. This is way too big for my canister (my bad) but I took scissors to it to make it fit. Water is very clear. The polisher does get mushy after a few months but no big deal to swap it out for a new one. Once this supply runs out I will look for the polisher specific to my Fuval 206! If none, it is no big deal to cut to shape.

The only reason I bought these filter pads was because I also ordered the Fluval Fx5 at the same time and well, I was feeling lazy. All these are a blue coarse Filter pads pre-cut into circles that are fitted for the Fx5. Save some money and just buy the Coarse filter pads from Petco or Petsmart and cut them yourself, Unless you feel like being lazy like I did. lol But for what they are and the price they are they arent worth it.

I was expecting this to be an exact fit, but its smaller. So I feel it will bypass some of the water it should filter.

Perfect fit easy to clean.

Polish the tank great but clog up a lot quicker than I thought they would , but I still use em just have to remove them within a few days , week tops
