Routing has always been a gut wrenching idea to me. It is the one part of a project that most likely can not be fixed and is typically where the eye is drawn. I finally decided to route a desk I made and this bit made it absolutely amazingly easy. My first time routing and it was like butter. The project came out way better then expected. I only needed to route 8 edges so I can’t say what long term life this bit has but for the 15 feet or so i needed to route it worked flawless. I routed resin and honey locus, only one long edge was resin, the rest was wood.

    I was pleased with it.

Excellent quaility and performs as stated. I would recommend this item. We used it to cut perfect 45 degree miter cuts.

The bit is not large enough to chamfer a 3/4 thick board. It leaves a flat ridge at the bottom of the board. Other reviews said it was so Im disappointed that I wasted my money.

Ive used this once and its better than most of the router bits Ive got. I would definitely but it again.

Used it on a project that had no margin for grabby cutters. Surface is glassy smooth. It worked very nice.

everything that I expected. This bit was very sharp and pulverized my pine board very easily to help veneer my island.

Can you go wrong with a Freud router bit?

Exactly what I needed to cut 45 degree bearing edges for drum shells. Very good product. The bit came in an over sized clear plastic storage box to protect it from damage while stored. Excellent quality.

1-5/8" (Dia.) Chamfer Bit with 1/2" Shank

From the Manufacturer

Freud"s precision ground carbide bits have a grain size smaller than other grades, and titanium is added making them impervious to chemical attack. Promoting safer woodworking is the reason Freud made a commitment to develop anti-kickback router bits. Bits are computer balanced to insure vibration-free operation at speeds that are a safe margin above the typical 22,000 RPMs of most routers. Freud"s philosophy is woodworkers should expect safety, not pay for it. Carbide length 5/8-inch, angle 45-degrees, shank diameter 1/2-inch.
