Freud 40-114: 1-5/8 (Dia.) Chamfer Bit
-

> 3 dayI purchased this bit to bevel the edge of a hardwood table top I was making. It cut the walnut easily and left a smooth finish. I have several Freud bits, they never let me down

> 3 dayIs what it says it is; would buy again, works fine, cuts well. Not quite sure what to say for reviews like this?

Greater than one weekI am a hobbyist woodworker and build the occasional cutting board. Instead of handles I sometimes chamfer the bottom edges with this bit. I have numerous other Freud bits and just like those this bit does not disappoint either. Since I only use it sparingly I expect for this bit to last a really long time.

> 3 dayHeavy duty tool eliminates chatter. Just slow it down to accommodate it’s size.

Greater than one weekUsed in hand-held DeWalt router (non-variable speed) to chamfer edge on 4x4 inch redwood for arbor project, Fabricated a new base base for router with scrap MDF to accomondate large diameter of bit. Worked flawlessly.

> 3 dayFreud bits seem to be the best. Long lasting if used correctly

Greater than one weekPerformed as expected; due to its size, it has a lot of in-between potential for different applications and different sizes of woods.

Greater than one weekTypical excellent Freud quality - this bit mills aluminum as well as wood. Cuts are super clean, no tearout when using the proper speed and feedrate. Zero chatter.

> 3 dayI bought this to use in making staves for boxes but I have used it for chamfering edges of projects. It is a heavy duty router bit. Made real strong and very large bit. Works flawlessly.
