> 24 hourBought this bag while getting my terrarium set up for my snake and found that it was mostly dirt and roots. I was able to use it for a little bit after picking all of the roots out but I quickly got changed out to a much better cypress mulch.

> 24 hourNot horrible but I got two bags of this and it didnt look like the bag in the picture. Rather than being mostly mulch my bags contained quite a bit of what looked like dirt. Id say it was about 50/50 dirt to mulch ratio. It still looked fine in my tanks and my animals seem to have no issues with it however its messy especially around the water bowls.

> 24 hourWhats nice about this mulch is that there is very little dust and is long lasting. Previously, I used coconut nor in my torts enclosure and was extremely unhappy with the unsafe and harmful dust it created. Even when misted, the water just sat on the surface and the dust not only got into my torts eyes & nose but but throughout the house through the ventilation system. Whenever I cleaned his cage, Id spend two days sneezing dark brown powder and coughing. I am happy to say that this mulch solved all of those problems! Although it is costly, compared to the store bought ZooMed brand or other alternative bedding choices (ex: recycled paper) it is far better quality- there is next to no dust, no sharp hair thin splinters of bark stabbing you and no unwanted smells. It is easy to clean up and dries quickly when wet.

> 24 hourI dont own a reptile. But I did buy a dormant bare root rose plant from the US branch of a breeder in England. I live in a hot climate so mulch is used to help keep the roots from getting too hot. I didnt want to spend money on a giant bag from a garden center when I only needed a small amount. This bag was perfect to add an inch or two thick layer on top of the soil in my 20x17 container. If its great for my rose, it must be great for reptiles too.
