> 3 dayIts easy to say well I can just use a cup/mug/jar for this for free, and thats true, but the small conveniences of the brush rest, the ridges along the bottom and up the sides for brush cleaning, and the shaper channels along the side really make the whole painting process easier. It saves time by helping you get a better clean, a reliable place to set a brush, and a quick shape to small brushes. If you want a dedicated water cup for painting, this is a great way to go.

> 3 dayI love the wide base which eliminates tipping. Also the grooves on the bottom and sides of the cup are great for ridding brushes of paint and reshaping them to a fine point. Also, it looks cool.

18-11-2024I am glad I got this. I was using a standard drinking glass like a lot of people and it worked ok, but this one has some extra ridges and slots to shape your brushes. Works better than I thought it would to be honest. Glad I got it.

Greater than one weekMost people will say that this product is dumb, even stupid, but this is so practical, the bottom and sides help cleaning the pain of the brush and the slides help keeping the brushes sharp, it has two small issues, first, its plastic so you obviously cannot see how dirty the water is at a glance, and its a bit small, it doesnt hold as much water as most cups of water or jars. So this solve so many inconveniences I didnt have with a few caveats. Really, a stupidly good product.

Greater than one weekYes I used a simple cup before like every other person in this hobby. So why did I pay for an overpriced cup? Because its awesome! The inside has edges that are real good for getting the paint off your brush, also the inlets used to help narrow the bristles are awesome. If you enjoy this hobby of painting miniatures, just buy it, your doing yourself a favor and youll be happy you did.

> 3 dayYes, it is a $12 cup to hold water and it is replacing an old coffee cup. There are a couple of features that made me spring for this: The most important one is that when I am painting in the morning and have a cup of dirty paint water on my desk AND a cup of coffee... I havent actually drank my paint water, but I have reached for it many times It has a notch across the top for you to put a paint brush. This is great for keeping your paint brush from rolling off my desk, hitting my chair and rolling an unreasonable distance. There are some ridges on the side of the cup for getting rid of most of the water after dipping the tip of the brush. There are much bigger ridges on the bottom for cleaning your brush a bit more assertively. (I wouldnt use this on my good brushes, but i typically use a cheap brush to mix paints, to dry brush, to stipple, or to force into those tiny little areas that no one will ever see.... but i feel like i have to paint anyways) Basically, this was a very inexpensive luxury item that makes my life every so slightly easier when painting (and most importantly makes sure I never confuse my paint water for coffee .... because i would never live THAT down).

> 3 dayI just received this. Before, I just used a cheap plastic cup and didn’t think much of it, cleaning and throwing it away if it got too dirty on the bottom. Then I read the product description, features, and reviews of this Water Pot and realized that it might contain everything I need. The Pot has grooves on the bottom and sides to clean the brush. How neat! It has slots on the slide to sharpen the brush bristles into a point. Cool! These are neat features that an ordinary plastic cup doesn’t have and should help to make life easier and faster for the modeler. I always worried that my plastic cup left on my desk would tip over, even with a tray underneath. With this Water Pot, I’ve no worries whatsoever. Sure, it might be a tad expensive, but the design really does work. It’s about 3/4ths the size of a coffee mug so it’s large enough to clean brushes. I just place a piece of cardboard or notepad on top to prevent evaporation and have no fears that it would tip over if bumped.
