Yes I used a simple cup before like every other person in this hobby. So why did I pay for an overpriced cup? Because its awesome! The inside has edges that are real good for getting the paint off your brush, also the inlets used to help narrow the bristles are awesome. If you enjoy this hobby of painting miniatures, just buy it, your doing yourself a favor and youll be happy you did.

Most people will say that this product is dumb, even stupid, but this is so practical, the bottom and sides help cleaning the pain of the brush and the slides help keeping the brushes sharp, it has two small issues, first, its plastic so you obviously cannot see how dirty the water is at a glance, and its a bit small, it doesnt hold as much water as most cups of water or jars. So this solve so many inconveniences I didnt have with a few caveats. Really, a stupidly good product.

Great for your painting, straightens your brushes well.

If you put metallic paint in it, it will suck up those metal bits like a sponge does water and it will gather onto your brush. If you then use any other paints, it will fall into it and now my radiation on my Necrons sparkles like Edward from Twilight I use it because I like representing brands and such but there are more innovative and cooler products on Amazon for way cheaper. You are paying for the name on the cup. It does not hold that much water and needs to be washed constantly, and other pots I have do a better job of taking off the paint on my brushes. This pot has actually ruined 2 of my brushes. It gets 3 stars because it does what it says it does.

Are there cheaper just as effective options out there? Ya. But this is perfectly fine for the 15 bucks it cost me. Has nice channel in the sides for brush shaping too. Wont change your life but its worth the purchase imo

theres not much to say, it does a great job holding enough water in place so you can paint and not worry about it tipping over. its a solid cup and does what its meant to.

Honestly I didnt think that something that just holds water could be so innovative. Many great features to keep your brushes clean & pointy. Awesome product.
