Im not a big watch guy but recently found myself needing one for my job. That amount of data this watch offers is amazing. Everything from time to weather, heart rate, sunset, sunrise, steps, exercise, GPS coordinates, ballistic shooting data, route tracker, way points, merges with phone to prived call and message and calender data..Looking for a do it all semi- smart watch with GPS for outdoors? Grab this model..If you want a watch that does more phone type of integration? Pass on this one. Its NOT an apple watch. But it does the bare minimum of phone work. This watch for mostly for outdoors with other features that are just bonuses.

Works well and is easy to get it setup. The battery lasts me about 4 days. I use it to tell time and track my walks. With the Garmin app this is very easy. It also tells me when I get call or text. I also like it reminding me when Ive sat around to long. Im kind of watch snob an usually wear only a quality analog watch but with the selectable watch faces Ive found one I can live with.

Watch has held up for the first week just fine. However, it feels cheap. Its very lightweight. When it vibrates, its incredibly noisy. Never will this watch be a good idea in any type of noise sensitive environment such as hunting, church, meetings, etc. I dont know if its a flaw in this particular watch or just the watch in general. If someone else could give me feedback, i would appreciate it. The functions are fairly simple and easy to operate. Dont expect the ability to correspond back to messages, etc. The face of the watch could be better. With Garmins technology, i guess i expected a bit more. I hope this helps.

I own a regular Instinct and now this Tactical and thought I wouldnt need the extra features but have actually found them useful. I personally feel this Tactical is more accurate than my regular Instinct. But my regular one isnt off enough to worry about when Im out in the back country AND I never rely on just one tracking system anyhow so the small difference in accuracy is never an issue. Try it youll like it. Trek On!

As a decades long Gshock fan I have no regrets going with this watch after tiring of waiting on Casio to produce a decent smart watch. I wore a Samsung Active2 for 2 years and it just wasnt cutting it anymore. This watch is amazing and surpasses my expectations. A two week battery life!

This is my first amazon review, received nothing free and I wasnt asked to write this. The MGRS accuracy isfantastic, has features such as waypoints, gyro compass, weather forecast, altimeter, barometric pressure and the battery life is simply amazing. I honestly like NOT having a touch screen and prefer genuine buttons to push, it is much tougher than anything in Fenix line, this watch was built to last. Garmin is actively supporting it with frequent firmware updates as well. Its just a great outdoor watch, especially for hiking, camping, geocaching and things like that. I can input a grid as a destination FROM THE WATCH, and it works just fine, without a phone connection.
