Not a pretty display at all, but by far out performs the galaxy active 2 that I had. And Im a Samsung fan.

Been using this for almost a year daily now. If you’re reading the reviews it’s because your hesitant , just buy it, you won’t regret it

Great device. Every feature works to the T besides the Barometer due to the sensor being agints your skin. It throws it off to the point I just have it off. This device does a great job when I am out exploring and I want to throw waypoints down for features like water supply, where I parked, campsite, possible hunting spots and etc. Use this was the Explore App and youll be able to make routes that will be sent to the watch and youll be able to see the trail on the display. I just bought the InRead Explore Plus but wont receive it till this Friday. This device syncs with your phone, InReach, Xerox and VIB.

First real smart watch. Tend to wear mechanical or automatic watches over quartz movements; but, this is working out well.

Bought this Garmin Instinct Tactical watch for my hubby, whom is big into geospatial technologies, geology, mapping, drone search and rescue, water resource management, has his pilot license, surveying... etc. Is there anything this man doesnt do? Yes - Remember to tell me when we need to buy more coffee creamer! One HUGE benefit to this watch is that it monitors your heart, blood pressure and general health 24/7. With Covid-19, and general health issues as we age, this has been very important to me. I can check on an app anytime we want to see if we are getting enough uninterrupted sleep, if coffee consumption has any correlation to increased heart rate (YES!) and much more. The track back feature ensures no one can Take you out into the woods and leave you there... well, they can, but you shall being seeing them again soon enough... much to their distress.

Already had a heart fitness moitor, brought the Garmin Instinct for its GPS, navigation and data capture modules, unfortunately the Instinct could never get a GPS lock, so no recording of trip data or data transfer to mobile map apps, or if it did the results were well out when checked with a hand held Sat Map GPS. So in conclusion I brought it to assist in navigation, but it failed dismally.

When you can rely on Instinct, the world can rely on you. This rugged, reliable outdoor GPS watch is built to the U.S. Military standard 810G for thermal, shock and water resistance (rated to 100 meters). The fiber-reinforced polymer case adds strength and durability, and the chemically strengthened, scratch-resistant display is readable in bright sunlight. You can also activate “night vision mode,” which reduces backlight Settings to a level that doesn"t interfere with the operation of night vision goggles. The fully vented silicone bands include two independent, removable keeper loops to ensure a Secure fit and to keep you from getting caught on things.
