I was thinking, do you really need a radar when you can just hear a car approaching -- but this gives you a heads up even before you hear a vehicle. Gives you time to make sure you are where you need to be on the road. I like it way more than I thought I would. Now I see why my friends told me I needed this.

This has made riding my bike so much less stressful. I know when a car or multiple cars are coming up behind me with plenty of time to move to the side.

Easy to install, and easy to link to both a Garmin Edge 520+ and my Android phone. I prefer the Edge because I dont necessarily want my phone display on all the time, and I dont have a bike mount for the phone anyway. The alerts are good volume, in either case. And sensitive enough to pick up anything approaching at faster than 1 MPH. The LED that shows it is on is not very bright in the sunlight, but the phone and the Edge give a positive indication when it is linked.

If you ride your bike on the road, you need this radar. It is nice to know when cars are coming from behind to know when to check mirror. It is like blind spot monitoring in a car.

I did not order this from Amazon but Ive been using it for 2 weeks now. Its life-changing and should be used by every serious cyclist who rides solo (where youre not protected by riding with a group). Physical installation on my D-shaped BMC seatpost was dead easy using on of the supplied adapters. I originally was going to pair it with a Wahoo or Garmin cycling GPS computer, but realized I didnt need to. Instead I paired it with my Garmin fenix5 watch which sits on a handlebar mount. It works great, The varying colored bars that show the number and location of cars coming up from behind are easily visible on each of my cycling screens on the fenix.

This is a great product for any person who bikes on the regular. It notifies you when a car is close exactly as described.

Pairs easily and works great. Only 4 stars because there is no way to adjust the sensitivity of the radar and it sometimes reports another bicycle as a car.
