these scissors are fabulous on trimming appliques while sewing. they trim close and even so putting the finishing touches to appliques are made easier. The one and only drawback to them is the handles. As with most of Gingher scissors the handle doesnt have any type of comfort grip or padding. This can make it uncomfortable to use for an extended period so I have to take breaks while using them due to arthritis. There is no question that these scissors are the best Ive seen for applique.

I am in love with these scissors! They make applique much easier. I have been using them a lot for felt and it works exponentially better than regular scissors.

I have another brand of applique scissors. The old ones got a dull spot from one drop on the floor. The Gingher scissor are harder and both the blades and the tips of the blades are very sharp. This is important when doing inset embroidery where you have to cut out the inside of a shape rather than around the shape.

These are a must have for ease of cutting when working with applique! These make cutting very easy and quick.
