I have really enjoyed this brand, they are very sharp and easy to use. Plus I couldnt beat the price. Half of what they were locally.

Ideal for applique work and rug making. The paddle-shaped blade pushes away the bottom layer of fabric for flawless controlled, cuts close the stitching. The offset handle allows for a comfortable hand position above the work surface. A double-plated chrome finish over nickel is both handsome and durable. Scissors come in a beautiful tin storage case with a burgundy mold fitted to the scissors profile. My ginghers are special scissors I do not buy them without a case. It clearly states they come in a tin. Where is my tin?? Mine came in a molded plastic box, not the type you can store them in, protect, or treat as special. This puts them in the same category as the disposable ones (Ive probably have 20-30 of them lying around the house) That is way too much to pay for one of them. I am disappointed in Amazon for not advertising something clearly not as represented.

First time using them I accidentally cut my fabric. I was over confident that it would never cut through my fabric if I go quickly but I was wrong. I take my time now with them and get as close as I can. How I cut using these is the appliqué facing me and the duck (big) blade on the back of applique and small part on top and then cut that way. Also its more comfortable to hold of you go up a finger. So instead of holding it like you would regularly hold scissors skip and go to the next finger for a more comfort.

Of my 3 great scissors, these are the best to trim cutaway stabilizer away from the back of my machine-embroidered designs. Easy to handle, the blade slides under the tight spots, protecting the fabric. The cut is sharp and quick.

Very agile for fussy cutting. I purchased for a Susan Carlson quilting class. She has Ben using these for decades and recommends them to all her students.
