Retayne is used to prevent the excess dye from your quilting fabrics from bleeding during the washing of the completed quilt. Its a great way to lock in the colors and insure that you have a wonderful completed project!

Dont quilt without this product. It sets the color in batiks, reds, navy blue, etc. There is almost nothing on the color catchers when this is added to the wash.

I love Retayne because it stops the bleed on my quilts when I wash them for the first time. It stops all colors.

Really keeps the dark color from running!

I now use this for all new clothes. Was disappointed in how quickly my childrens clothes would fade after buying them, and this has helped them look much better!

I followed the directions carefully and used it on two pairs of blue jeans. After I used the product, the jeans still bled blue dye. I repeated the process after the first go-round as some of the other reviews recommended. Both pair of jeans still bleed as much as they did before I started. Maybe this stuff works better for certain kinds of dyes, but as far as Im concerned, its USELESS.

The product seems to have worked. The fabric when washed in hot water before sewing did not fade. You cannot tell the fabric has been washed. I was disappointed, however, in the way the product was bottled. It was sent by priority mail, but evidently the lids are made of cheap plastic and were put on too tight. The lids on both bottles were cracked and the bottles were not sealed.Some of the solution had leaked out, but I did receive enough for what I needed at the time.
