> 3 dayI would rather use the ACE wood filler, its cheaper spreads much better and is less dry.

Greater than one weekThis is good value for money. It spread easily and dries pretty quickly as well as sands nicely. I also like the wide opening to the container, it makes it easy to spread with a putty knife.

> 3 dayIve used a lot of wood fillers over the years, and the usual frustrations for me were that I couldnt easily use them to fill deeper holes and indentations except by time-consuming, repeated applications of thin layers. And, thereafter, the cured filler would absorb moisture from primers or paints, causing the sanded-smooth surface to swell up and bulge out slightly. Happily, neither of those issues was a problem with this filler. I used it to fill knot holes in the planks on my old outdoor deck. I found that the deeper holes could be filled with just two (thick) applications, usually 4 hours apart so long as it was warm and dry out. Then, once sanded, Gorillas formulation didnt absorb moisture but remained exactly as I sanded it to be. I ended up needing two tubs, buying the second after how happy I was with the first. This is a new generation of wood filler and a welcome one at that!

Greater than one weekI made a table and used pocket screws so I need to fill in all the pocket holes. The Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler is very flexible and spreads easily and dries fast. Be sure to use a putty knife and not a scraper when using it to fill holes. Also, clean up any excess right away with a damp cloth. This wood filler is harder to sand than the DAP brand but it is well worth it.

> 3 dayExposed screw heads are unsightly and allow moisture penetration over time on exposed wood surfaces. Treated wood is no exception other than its resilience over time to decay over that of untreated. It was with that in mind that when replacing hand rails and decking, all horizontal surfaces were installed with either edge retention or in the case of this review, the screw heads covered with this product. So far, the Gorilla brand filler has performed as advertised. It fills and sand’s uniformly to a nice smooth surface that goes mostly unnoticeable to the surrounding wood. So far Im really liking this filler. Historically, filler will harden if you didnt use it all. You can add a slight amount of water to gorilla filler and it returns to its useable consistency. Just stir it up. Now the most important thing for me was how the filler reacted to rain. As the drying process for treated wood requires some patience, all the filling and sanding was performed to prepare for staining. It Rained during the waiting period. The filler did not wash out after a full night of rain. Will update this review with images in the coming weeks after staining to demonstrate the fillers ability to take stain or if it will spot compared to the surrounding wood.

> 3 dayI bought this filler because I wanted to fill in holes in the wood of the window frames and wardrobe doors of our rental before we paint it. This wood filler was really easy to use and apply and dried up fast and was easy to paint over. It helped me restore the wood frames and they look now smooth and nice. I will certainly use it on the future.

Greater than one weekThis took a full 24hrs before I could sand. I was using for the corner of a staircase in an area that can fit inside your pocket. Very shallow gouge. It sands easily but seems like it won’t last even after paint. I have mixed and re-mixed the contents of the tub and sanded and re-applied. It seems tot are much longer to harden up and seems much easier to rma age than the original wood that was repaired. I will have to epoxy over this and sand on top of that.
