Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler, 16 Ounce Tub, Natural (Pack of 1)

I’m refinishing oak window molding in my living room and found many holes in the upper corners from 70 yrs of various window treatments. I cleaned area well, filled in all the holes and reshaped one corner that was nearly destroyed. Now I can prime and paint and looks new.

Good putty, setup very solid and was easily sanded. All painted and finished it has a clean look and fills in the space. I even used it to fashion a corner after I removed some rotted wood, not exactly the intended purpose but it actually worked out really well and seems solid.

More dry than it should be, might be an old product.

The putty was a little difficult to work with when using the putty knife so I used my fingers to fill the holes we had all over our walls. It did what I needed it to do and helped hide the holes.

This woodfiller states that it is paintable or stainable.. This product is easy to work with and it paints easily but it will not take stain. We were going to stain the floor but since the wood filler would NOT take the stain we painted instead.

A 19th c marble-topped furniture stand I purchased at auction was in an awful state. There were deep gouges in the front feet and legs and it was missing chunks of wood baluster. This product can be applied in a very thin layer to curved, hard-to-make-it-look-good spots. It can also be used to replace missing chunks like the round on a baluster. After allowing the product to dry or “cure” for 24-hrs, it can be sanded (in a well-ventilated, mask covered face) area with 600 grit paper to a smooth, can’t even notice it, paintable surface. While using a palette knife to apply it can be a bit tricky because of it’s fairly loose consistency, if you’re willing to commit a brush or two to the project, you could find they save time and aggravation. I’ve also grabbed a blob of it with a gloved hand and “molded” it to the foot. While it can’t be used to recreate a leaf or scroll, it’s very useful (due to its ability to conform to a shape) in filling-in a medallion. For this project, I used the “paste” exclusively,

Dries hard, but long time to dry.

I had tried many wood fillers for exterior rotting wood, cracks on decking or holes drilled by insects. This Filler amazed me. Easy to apply yet dries in full strength. Most impressive was it did not matter the size of the crack or depth - no need to apply multiple times for lesser products! It works the first time you smooth it on or fill cracks. Sands Easily to Fine Finish and Paints Adhere well. Now would buy nothing else. You will be glad to have this Gorilla Wood Filler in your cabinet.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, easy to sand and looks great after painting

Our porch wood had seen better days… I was concerned about wood prices in replacing, so tried this Gorilla wood filler. It’s been 3 months and it’s holding up great. When we put weight on each step, it feels sturdy and has a lot of life left. I coated it with a behr resurfacer to protect from the weather. It looks awesome and no longer needs replacing.
