Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler, 16 Ounce Tub, Natural (Pack of 1)

Consistency of product is the same as minwax tubes.

Our back door had a very bad spot because of the rain. Part of the wood had rotted out. It was as easy to use as one would expect, other than the product forming on the door all on its own. This stuff was a great filler and the door is restored.

I had some rotten wood to fill on an outside window sill. I was not impressed with some other products I tried, so I decided to use this product based on my previous experiences with Gorilla products. I found the product very hard to spread, mostly due to the foamy nature of the product itself. After some experimenting I found I could improve spreadability by adding some water to the product and mixing thoroughly. This greatly improved the way the product spread. I would recommend this with the suggestion that you also thin the product before using.

I needed to fill in some gouges that were taken out of a wooden drawer. The product was a bit too think (think wet sand), so when spreading, it took a bit to get used to what would stay in the hole and what wouldnt. Once I got used to how to use it, worked like a charm and was easily sanded down to match what I needed.

Our porch wood had seen better days… I was concerned about wood prices in replacing, so tried this Gorilla wood filler. It’s been 3 months and it’s holding up great. When we put weight on each step, it feels sturdy and has a lot of life left. I coated it with a behr resurfacer to protect from the weather. It looks awesome and no longer needs replacing.

It works well as wood putty goes, but nearly twice as much than preferred brand I was out of. Lower ratings related to cost. Positive note, it wasn’t noticeably different than previous brand used. If you need wood putty for a project, this works ok, but price for quantity isn’t worth it for bigger projects. :(

I was working outside in high temps and noticed that much was wasted as I had to scrape off the dried surface skin at each opening. Other than that, it seems to work ok. Sands down nicely when dry.

The only negative I have is the container. This square container is thin, when putting the lid on I often crush the whole container. Why dont they use the round heavier wall containers like everyone else? Ill be looking for another container to transfer the product into.
