> 3 dayits light, insulated enough to hold a cup of boiling water in your hands, packs well, and doubles as a measuring cup for your dehydrated meals. On a side note the handle is a good idea, but not ideal. Also the downside obviously you cant put this on a stove.

> 3 dayI paid about $8, and, at anything uder $10, this is a 10 star value. Unfortunately, however, we are limited here to just 5. Some observations: This is very lightweight and normal people - meaning everyone who isnt a go-light-go-tight back-packing type - might assume that it is flimsy. I didnt do any kind of crush test, but, since it takes a commercial can opener to get into a potato chip bag nowadays, I suspect that this plastic is much stronger than it might at first appear. In back-packing, as in cycling, lightness is a valued commodity that raises prices and doesnt necessarily indicate a lack of strength. One thing I noticed is that it will be very difficult to not get coffee, or whatever, on the cozy in the area that you sip. Still a 5 star value, though. The cozy is well constructed, but you will quickly feel the heat from your coffee coming through, so, if cold out, use the heat to warm your hands and drink your coffee fast. I think I will make a Reflectix outer cozy to go over the whole thing. The cozy fits well - just about perfectly - so the inner cup is not loose. That makes it a bit difficult to get out of the cozy, and the way to do it is to place the fingers of both hands on the lip of the cozy and then push up on the bottom with your thumbs. Not that it is difficult to do, but I decided to wax the outside of the inner cup with Turtle wax to make it slip easier. But, if you should decide to do that, take a fools advice and first stuff the cup with paper towels to keep from getting any inside. I didnt do that until after I had already begun, so only time will tell if my coffee winds up tasting like Turtle Wax and, if so, for how long? Be aware, though, that this is a generous sized cup, and it will take a bunch of paper towel half-sheets to fill it. I guess you could reuse them, but since they will be wadded up like someone blew their nose in them, others might be a bit reluctant to take a chance. Maybe you can come up with a better way - maybe keep the lid on or something. On another note, the cozy is a bit slippery to hold, so see below about the handle. The lid, which has a flip-open sip spout, is well constructed and fits well. The cozy has a fabric handle that may look like a mug handle to be used the same way, but it doesnt work well that way, and I suspect that is not its purpose. If you consider the handle as 12 oclock, then my suggestion is to place the sip spout at somewhere between 4 and 6 oclock and then pick up the cup as you would if there were no handle, sliding your fingers into the handle to keep the cup from slipping out of your hand. I am not a highly experienced camper, and not much of a back-packer at all, but this looks like a great value to me, so, unless something later comes up in its use, it gets 5 stars and a hearty well done!
