This is the 2nd mug that I bought of this brand. I liked mine so much for backpacking (from a recommendation of a friend) that I bought one for my boyfriend. We tested them out by flipping them upside down and there was no leaking. There are also measuring lines on the inside of the cup.

Bought two of these for my wife and I to take on a 130 mile backpack trip along the last part of the Colorado Trail through southwest Colorado. The mugs worked great. They’re light and are perfect for that morning coffee each day.

Our teenage daughter recently used it on a camping trip and said that it worked great. She also liked the collapsible handle and its light weight, making it super easy for her to carry.

I bought this when I wasnt paying attention on Amazon, I guess I didnt notice it in my cart. It showed up as a surprise, and I dont regret it at all. It insulates as well as I would assume it should for just having a little insulating fabric on the outside, the biggest thing that stands out to me is that the cup and fabric holder are separate pieces, so you can flip the handle to whatever side you want by rotating the cup (or lid) The lid secures fairly well, more than I assumed it would, it kind of seems like it just sits there, but it is leak proof, Im assuming not as well if it were dropped but I havent tested it that way. The first time I was using it I filled it with coffee and got into my car on my way to work, I knew it wouldnt fit in my cup holders so I set it on the armrest. I get to work ten minutes later and cant find it! Turns out while I was driving my arm bumped it and it fell on my back in the seat, I quick check my jacket and its dry and the flip top lid is still secure. Not sure that I would trust dropping it on the floor, but it stayed sealed for that. All in all my only real complaints are that the lid just slips in and doesnt go that far into the cup, and the fact that the measurement numbers are backwards, so if you look through the cup you can read it, but looking at it directly the numbers are backwards, Im sure theres probably a reason behind it but Im not sure.

Not really a great cup. The insulation provided by the nylon/foam jacket doesnt keep liquids warm/cool for very long. Your probably better served by a metal cup you can use on a stove to heat water for coffee/tea/cocoa.

Love my mug, took it backpacking at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and it kept my morning coffee warm, and it turned into our water pitcher to fill our water filters.

I bought this mug for backpacking because it is lightweight, insulated, and had markings for measuring liquids. Two out of three isnt a perfect score. The markings have completely rubbed off. I never put it in the dishwasher, and I have been using it for only about 3 months. Also, I have removed from the lid the plastic gasket that makes a tight seal. Actually, it removed itself. After removing the lid a few times, the black ring just came off when I wasnt paying attention. Without the gasket, it has a tight enough fit for drinking, but I wouldnt turn it upside down with drink in it.
