> 3 dayIf youve had gels or any kind of energy nutrition before, you dont really have high expectations on flavors. I really thought I would like citrus flavors more, but the chocolate/coffee/vanilla/caramels are the only ones I like while out on a ride. Wash it down with plenty of water though!

> 3 dayI burned out on Gu a long time ago and for years avoided it. When I tried the French Toast Gu it reignited my love (and use) of gu. The flavor is unique (not all fruity or vanilla or chocolate) but not heavy. It has a yummy, buttery maple syrup flavor that isnt too sweet. Right now I alternate between French Toast gu and Toasted Smore GU and I actually look forward to taking nutrition during runs now. Perfect for long runs (pre or during nutrition).

> 3 dayI’m pretty bad at fueling during my long runs and usually procrastinate until I crash. I did an impromptu marathon without running longer than 12 miles in months. I drank a pedialyte the night before as recommended & started fueling around 5 miles. The first GU I took was without caffeine, then every thirty minutes or so I consumed the Espresso Love flavor GU (which has 40g caffeine). I sucked on it over a period of miles (with sips of water) until I finished it. I had 5 or 6 GU’s total for my marathon. I never crashed or hit a wall, although I was running with a friend for their first marathon so I was going slower than usual. I never had GI issues, I believe because I took these slowly. I also alternated between Gatorade & water at the aid stations, focusing more on water because I figured I was getting enough from my GU’s. I’m not a fan of the fruity flavors but I’ll be buying cases of the Espresso Love flavor. I believe they were a big factor in making this marathon go perfectly.

> 3 dayGreat taste and excellent balance of nutrition for a good price. These are hard to find in retail locations so great to find here and in quantity so you dont have to worry about running out. Pop in your pocket and after 30-45 minutes they give you a boost to finish .

> 3 dayI like IPAs so I took a chance on the Hoppy Trails flavor. Turns out it’s a really bad combo and I’m dreading choking down the remaining 23, at which point I’ll replace them with the indulgent assortment. Dear GU: Please offer a super mix pack with one of every niche flavor so we can try everything out without committing to trying it 24 times.

> 3 dayLove this. Im one of those rare women that can live without chocolate. Yet when I do indulge, I tend to go for the after-dinner chocolate mints or peppermint patty-type of candy. I dont use the packets. I have the coordination of a drunk bear and after cutting my lip trying to open a packet, I bought one of those flasks that you can add sports gels to.This is great. I also like the GU Chocolate Outrage, but this one is more liquidy whereas the Outrage has the consistency of icing, which is okay, but not when someone (me) needs a sugar boost. This has the consistency of chocolate syrup. The flavor is perfect. I have this on monthly order through Amazon for the simple reasons that a) its rare that you can find this flavor in sports stores, and b) my husband treats this like candy.

> 3 dayI was burning out (hitting the wall) when I tried to run more than 13 miles. I am preparing to run my first marathon and needed some help. I looked at a lot of energy supplements and my biggest concern was how a supplement might hit my stomach halfway into a run. I’m happy to say that these supplements are working for my running regimen, give me a noticeable energy boost very quickly after consuming, and so far I have not had any stomach issues. I am taking two during long runs right and will probably use 3 during marathon runs in addition to what the event hands out. Right now I pause my run to take these. I know I need to learn to take them while running before my marathon and it definitely seems possible as these gels are pretty dense (not runny/messy). I like this flavor pack and will probably stick with it.

> 3 dayI have trained for 3 marathons. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE THINGS. I cant handle the vanilla or any other flavor but this mint one. They boost my energy and keep me running. Store easily in my water belt and I also sometimes tuck them in my bra strap. If you are a runner, you know what places we can fit things. Tear open easily while Im running, even with sweaty hands (I dont stop to open them). Cant rave enough about how great these things are. I know there are a lot of different types of energy gel brands, but if you are trying one out for the first time, try these!
