Hakko 611-2 Dual Solder Reel Stand, Black

Greater than one weekThis is a top quality solder reel that holds two reels at once. The solder can feed from either side of the reel an the wire guide for each holds the solder tail in place. I have very fine SMD solder on one reel and wider general purpose solder on the other. Takes up less bench space and means I can get what i need faster. The product itself is extremely thick steel, nicely painted and with a rubber boot on the bottom for grip. It stays exactly where you put it. The handle is strong and well made so its easy to move around when you need to. It can be ESD safe if required with pre-drilled holes for earth strap. As solder reels go this is about as good as its possible to get

> 3 dayThe sturdy metal construction, straight forward design, and reasonable price make this a good option toward keeping the benchtop better organized.

> 3 dayReally helpful in keeping the work bench tidy! The stand is very solid and the base is heavy enough that it all stays put on the bench when pulling the solder out. It holds pretty much any diameter reel and very easy to switch out if you need to. The fact that it holds two reels is why I went for this one as opposed to the single one. I use two different gauge solder on my projects and this keeps both in good reach.

Greater than one weeki had the single reel hakko and it was meh. it has some issues which i wish they would have corrected and in this dual version everything except the plastic spools which is not that big of a deal breaker is better. i also love that this version has a handle so when i move to one of my other stations i dont have to now have multiple rolls at every single place i need it like i used to, and the single roll version the rolls basically fall right out if you tilt it, just grab this with the handle and move it where i need it. i ended up buying 4 of these to hold all the variants of solder i normally use. and its quick enough to swap out rolls for the times i use something less common. the setup i had before (and is still in use as i have a TON of various solder rolls) was something i made and it works awesome but is not mobile and mounted to the wall. im going to make something to hold these dual reels and again when i need to grab one and go its easy, the one thing i do wish it had is some kind of tagging system to say what solder is which. i had to use my ptouch brother to make small stickers to mark which is which.

Greater than one weekI was actually surprised that these things are built of a heavy sheet metal and not some flimsy wafer cheap from china (even though its made there). I bought a second one

> 3 dayThis is a pretty simple product, so there isnt too much to say - which is good. Solid, easy to assemble, does well what is supposed to do. I like the wire solder guides that clip in; I had another holder where the guide was made from flat metal that was screwed on. That one constantly lost screw tension and just hung limply.
