> 3 dayI like the temperature control. I missed out on the old pistol designs before Hakko stopped production so this is the next best version for my uses. A smaller spade tip would be a handy accessory for this package.

> 3 daySecond day of use it would not clean well with tinning cleaner, or with sal ammoniac, or damp sponge.. i tried using different solder, and different temperature but work was lumpy and black. I returned and got a refund.. .. i read reviews and a few had problems like mine.

> 3 dayIn spite of the Celsius only settings, I like it. It is easy to make it too hot for 60/40, but it works well. I have used it for a few projects and hopefully will update this review over time, once I have more time using it.

18-04-2025I return one already, but I wanted to give it another shot so I ordered a replacement. No luck.I thought I was the unlucky one, but I read all the reviews and 90% of the complaints are the same as mine. Out of nowhere it stops heating. The blue light is just a decoration, it is very inaccurate and a power cord stiffness is a pain in the ass. Im getting a simple 100 W gun with a separate temperature control.

> 3 dayThis is a great iron. I use it for stained glass and it is awesome. It heats up fast and keeps a great temperature. I just wish it was a little larger (I have big hands) and that it came with a wider soldering tip.
