> 3 dayBeen battling a pantry moth infestation that got into my garden room through some bird seed I had stored. Its unreal how resourceful these little jerks are - they get all established before you even realize theres an issue. One day you ask, Why are there so many of these things and the answer soon becomes apparent that theyve moved in without asking. They got behind my window casements for heavens sake. I cant reach there to vaccuum them out. They also did get into one half of my food pantry and I had to toss some food they got into and vacuum that out as well, hard to do because they get into the shelf peg holes, even. Since they were living in areas I could not reach with my water vac attachments, I deployed this desiccant to their habitat instead. Hee hee. So this stuffs messy and I used the dispenser wrong at first but basically I just ineptly dusted this stuff in every area I saw them and let it sit. It has taken about five weeks or so but their population numbers finally just bottomed out and Im no longer seeing them in anywhere near the numbers I used to. We also spent weeks manually killing the flying ones we saw with an electrified racket (more satisfying than youd think) and I also deployed pantry moth traps that also seem to work well and are doing a good job helping me gauge the problem. You can win against them but it takes a sustained effort. You dont have to be perfect, this stuff WORKS. A spate of nice weather apparently spurred a bunch of them to hatch out earlier this month, we took care of that phalanx and since then have seen only a few sporadically which we also dispatched. Im super happy with this stuff, it clearly affects the moths, if they touch it they seem to have trouble flying as well. It doesnt work immediately and you have to address the issue with a multipronged approach. This is the big center prong. This is the stuff you want if youre battling pantry pests. Give yourself a leg up and use this, its natural, safe, and has no effect my pets. Wear goggles and a mask when youre applying it so you dont breathe any in. Once the air is clear and the stuff is on surfaces, youre good. It kills insects by drying them out. Kinda genius if you ask me! I dont think I will have to call an exterminator after all.

> 3 dayI purchased these for use against Argentine ants. The included duster doesnt really dust so much as shoot a stream, so maybe purchase a separate duster if you just want a fine layer. If youre fine with just blasting diatomaceous earth everywhere, then youll be fine with the included duster. This stuff works well against ants. For Argentine ants in particular, use it dust around entry points. Itll cut up and dry out their exoskeletons to kill them, but ultimately it only acts as a deterrent. Ants will stop coming from where you dust and generally stay away from the dusted areas, but they will just find another entry point. This is a band-aid and not a solution. Diatomaceous earth should be used to corral the ants to places you dont mind them being, where you can deploy further baits and potentially pesticides to actually solve the problem. While useful, it should be used as a part of a more complete home infestation treatment. Sprinkle diatomaceous earth where you dont want ants, but keep it away from baits and pesticide treated places so the ants will properly find the means to eliminate themselves.

> 3 dayOk like... Im really not sure how many stars to give this product. Let me explain why. This stuff gets literally everywhere. You know how cornstarch is? Like you just kind of touch it and it sticks to your fingers in this weird chalky layer? Yeah, its like that... except, this stuff aerosolizes easily, meaning that if you even just blow on it the tiniest bit or theres even the smallest gust of wind or even you just move your darn hand, it goes into the air in tiny particles. And those tiny particles.. are horrendous for your lungs. It can lead to all sorts of lung complications. So, just use it inside, right? Yes. Except.. no vacuuming. It will clog your filter and every vacuum Ive ever owned had an exhaust port, meaning that it would just... blow it all into the air if I tried to use it. And then Id breathe in the silicon, sooo thats not good. But whats the big deal, right? Its just silicon. well it turns out that the way Diatomaceous Earth works is that when little critters with exoskeletons walk over it, it cuts them up microscopically. They eventually die! Yay. Except... it also cuts up our lungs. Therefore, when you use this SAFELY, theres nothing wrong with it. Dont breathe it in (and for the love of God dont snort it). However, because of all the safety issues with aerosolizing it, I wont touch the stuff. Even just open the bag creates powder that floats up into the air! Its ridiculous. but the thing is, thats just how it is - any brand of diatomaceous earth will be the same way. So thats why I still give it 4 stars. It also does seem to work to kill ants. Its just that it... gets.. EVERYWHERE. I wish they didnt put the (rather giant) powder applicator IN the bag. Gosh, its so hard to get it off of anywhere... ALSO when you apply it JUST APPLY A TINY MIST. Dont try to drown them like youre adding flour to a cake. It should be a fine mist that you can barely see. If you can see the powder its too much according to the internet. Its just... so hard to apply! If you have to clean it, I recommend wetting the powder that you applied and then wiping it up. I can still see some powder in my carpet near the baseboards and Im scared to clean it because I dont want to breathe it in. :)

> 3 dayDiatomaceous earth really helps to reduce the number of bugs in my space, and the duster included with this bag is really helpful for spreading it around indoors without creating a ton of visually obvious powder areas. You can puff it onto white walls and ceilings, and it’s basically not noticeable. I’d been putting diatomaceous earth on carpets and other places around baseboards and under furniture, too, which could look a little poor in some areas, but the duster included here helps me to diffuse more discreetly, and I even put a very thin layer over most of the open carpet area in my room that’s not really visible. Diatomaceous earth isn’t a 100% fail-proof solution all by itself, particularly for sugar ants (I recommend Terro and always keeping all foods well-sealed) and gnats/fruit flies (red wine vinegar and soap, fly paper, keeping the area clean), but it does seem to be one of the very best tools in my arsenal against insects. In combination, diatomaceous earth, sealing door and window gaps, Terro traps, a fly paper trap, and a vinegar, sugar, water, and soap trap when necessary seem to take care of 90-95% of bugs in my otherwise fairly vulnerable faux-studio bedroom space, and I reckon that diatomaceous earth does about 50% of the work. It seems to be particularly effective against spiders, thank god. Fortunately, I haven’t had much of an issue with houseflies, but I would guess that it would be somewhat effective for them, too, if you’re willing to diffuse it onto walls and window sills. Unless, I accidentally drop a large amount on the carpet or something, I don’t really vacuum this up or anything; I just apply every 6-12 months over as many surfaces as I feel I reasonably can, and I’m willing to accept a slight white cast or occasional white spots on surfaces and the risk of some minor skin irritation (not that I’ve really noticed any, apart from applying the product by hand) over having a lot of bugs in my space. I didn’t really use a mask or anything the first couple times I applied this stuff everywhere, which is probably really stupid of me as it’s not great for your lungs, so please take caution in that regard. My hope is that once it’s out of the air/settled, it’s not much of a lung health risk even if applied over a huge number of surfaces in a space, but it is a potential risk to be aware of.

> 3 dayI originally purchased this to kill these little bugs we found in our house that look like brown ladybugs. After doing research we found out they are called carpet beetles and might have come after we just had new carpeting installed. Sometimes carpet beetles and bed bugs can be infested in these warehouses where the carpet is stored. Anyways, we were going on vacation and so we put it on our carpet and left for 3 days and when we came back and vacuumed it up we havent seen any since. BE SURE TO USE AN N95 MASK. I was looking at some of the reviews and noticing the health benefits. I started doing more research and found the following information. For those of you wondering, it is pronounced Die - Tah - Matous - Earth. Mix with water or your favorite drink (juice, milk, smoothie, etc). Heres the dosage that Ive been following. Week 1 — 1 TBSP (AM or PM) Weeks 2 & 3 — 2 TBSP (AM + PM) Weeks 4 & 5 — 1 TBSP (AM or PM) - always take 1hr before meals or 2hr after meals - weeks 6 and beyond, continue with 1 TBSP a day for 4 days straight, then take 3 days off Drink Option #1 I use 12 ounces of almond milk with no sweetener. Add 5 drops of stevia, Keto elevate mix, and 1 TBSP of food grade diatomaceous earth. Blend using handheld frother. Option #2 I use 12 ounces of alkaline water. Add 3/4 scoop of vanilla protein, Keto elevate mix, and 1 TBSP of food grade diatomaceous earth. Blend using handheld frother. This product is so naturally rich in silica and 28 other trace minerals. It helps to lower your cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, strengthens your hair and nails, kills worms and parasites, helps clear up your skin, decreases inflammation, and helps with joint pain. Initially, you may feel some side effects, such as headaches and flu-like symptoms. These are caused by the toxins leaving your body and the killing of parasites (this is not a cause for alarm). If these symptoms persist, however, lower your diatomaceous earth intake. This will slow the release of toxins and reduce the side effects.

> 3 dayTo be honest I am not all together sure what its actual use is, I just know I read it could get rid of fleas. It does do that temporarily. Should you be using it for that DO NOT use the spryer that comes with it. I did and it got everywhere, I literally had to clean it off of everything in my room. The better albeit harder way to do it is to find something to put it in and sprinkle it. When my sister used it she used a mason jar and poked holes on the lid. If you have a tiny flea problem this will solve it for a month or so, if you have a big flea problem you’re looking at it lasting a week at best. Again, I don’t know what it’s actually used for, so this review is based on what I used it for.

Greater than one weekA doctor on YouTube spoke about the benefits of diatomaceous earth as far as getting rid of parasites and dealing with yeast/candida overgrowth. I began taking it with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in water every morning. After several days all of a sudden my body began a purge plus the insane itching I had from the candida stopped. I think my body was purging the garbage out of it. I stopped taking the earth for a few days but went back on it as I know there is some residual yeast or fungal growth lingering. But it is tasteless and harmless. Just do NOT inhale it. BE WARNED: If you experience really bad cramping stop taking it. I had this happen to me twice and i had diarrhea for three days the first time. The second time I tried it after being off of it for a few days, the cramps were really bad and I stopped taking it. Just be careful and monitor your bodys reaction. It can help you as it has me.
