I really like DE and I use it multiple places. I mix it into my chicken feed to prevent and kills worms in my chickens. I sprinkle it in the garden both at ground level as well as on the leaves and veggies. I also use it on my fruit trees. It really works on the insects we get here at my farm. I love that this one comes with a device to squirt/spray/distribute the powder on these various places. Its a little messy to fill but it helps to powder a chicken tail that has nits (as she runs away from you!)

I put this around the perimeter of my home inside and out! I haven’t seen any crawling bugs in a LONG TIME! I am getting ready to move to a new location and I’ll definitely be using this product to get rid of AND prevent any unwanted critters from entering my home.

This product effectively eliminated ants that had invaded my house. The key is to apply this LIGHTLY. An applicator is included to gently puff this powder where you need it. It should look like a fine smoke coming out. After a few days the ants were gone. Because it is food grade I’m not worried about poisoning pets or family members.

Much better deal than buying the puffer separately

Been battling a pantry moth infestation that got into my garden room through some bird seed I had stored. Its unreal how resourceful these little jerks are - they get all established before you even realize theres an issue. One day you ask, Why are there so many of these things and the answer soon becomes apparent that theyve moved in without asking. They got behind my window casements for heavens sake. I cant reach there to vaccuum them out. They also did get into one half of my food pantry and I had to toss some food they got into and vacuum that out as well, hard to do because they get into the shelf peg holes, even. Since they were living in areas I could not reach with my water vac attachments, I deployed this desiccant to their habitat instead. Hee hee. So this stuffs messy and I used the dispenser wrong at first but basically I just ineptly dusted this stuff in every area I saw them and let it sit. It has taken about five weeks or so but their population numbers finally just bottomed out and Im no longer seeing them in anywhere near the numbers I used to. We also spent weeks manually killing the flying ones we saw with an electrified racket (more satisfying than youd think) and I also deployed pantry moth traps that also seem to work well and are doing a good job helping me gauge the problem. You can win against them but it takes a sustained effort. You dont have to be perfect, this stuff WORKS. A spate of nice weather apparently spurred a bunch of them to hatch out earlier this month, we took care of that phalanx and since then have seen only a few sporadically which we also dispatched. Im super happy with this stuff, it clearly affects the moths, if they touch it they seem to have trouble flying as well. It doesnt work immediately and you have to address the issue with a multipronged approach. This is the big center prong. This is the stuff you want if youre battling pantry pests. Give yourself a leg up and use this, its natural, safe, and has no effect my pets. Wear goggles and a mask when youre applying it so you dont breathe any in. Once the air is clear and the stuff is on surfaces, youre good. It kills insects by drying them out. Kinda genius if you ask me! I dont think I will have to call an exterminator after all.

My friend, who recently had surgery for lung cancer, has cockroaches in his apartment. Due to recent cancer scare, did not want a traditional treatment that was potentially hazardous to his health. I purchased this for him & hes definitely seeing fewer of the unwanted bugs.

I use this for the vegetable garden and to discourage household pests. A little goes a long way and it is a readonably safe and effective natural bug deterrent. I put it under the built-in heaters, around where pipes go through the wall, on outer sills of windows that are close to ground level, under the fridge, under the stove, etc. to discourage insects and it is very helpful. I do not use the duster indoors as diatomaceous earth dust is dangerous to breathe or to get in your eyes. Always wear a safety mask and safety goggles when using it, make sure no kids or pets or anyone else is around, clean up after yourself to remove extraneous dust, and only apply it where kids and pets will not get at it. This is food grade and completely safe to ingest for people and animals - many people eat it as a health supplement and it is commonly fed to livestock - but breathing it in or getting it in your eyes is a no no as the particles in the dust are sharp. I have seen it applied carelessly with no ill effects to anyone, but better safe than sorry. This particular brand has a good reputation and 4 lbs. is perfect for my needs.

Add just a little to the cat food. The worms are gone. Much more effective than de-wormers, and much cheaper.
