I like this filter, I use it as a secondary filter for some white noise when Im sleeping. Ive been surprised how much additional filtering this little filter is doing in addition to my main filter. A couple of things to keep in mind. One, this is a HEPA type filter which means it is not true HEPA and wont filter the smallest particles from the air. Thats OK, not every filter has to be true HEPA; though you may want to have a main filter that is true HEPA in addition to this one, this filter is more of a secondary filter to support a main filter. Two, because its a lower level filter it will move more air more quickly and will actually wind up needing to be replaced more frequently than a true HEPA filter. Keep an eye on it, once it begins to turn dark it needs to be replaced. Fortunately these HEPA type filters are pretty inexpensive. Id much rather spend a few bucks every few months than breath in the black stuff getting captured in this filter.

We purchase these replacement HEPA filters for our Holmes Air Purifier and, although a little expensive, deliver an effective HEPA air purifying experience in our home where multiple people have bad allergies. We run our air purifier for a minimum of 12 hours a day and have found these cartridges give us a good three to four months utility before needing replacement. Whether you use a portable air purifier or invest in the HEPA air filters for your central heating and cooling, youre going to pay a premium for the HEPA-grade filters. So, we make an investment for the wellness of our family and these filters are a part of that investment. In all, I highly recommend this product for your Holmes Air Purifier if HEPA-grade clean air is a requirement for you.

Not real positive that this filter is any better than the regular but giving it a chance. The filters are great no matter which you use.

This filter works great to eliminate pet and smoke odors. It has no scent but that’s a good thing as it’s supposed to eliminate odors, not introduce new ones.

Nice for bird dander.

This air cleaner is small but does a great job. This replacement filter works great. I have it in a large closet filled with fabric and batting. I am an addicted quilter. I was surprised at how dirty this filter got in a closed closet. I feel confident that it is doing exactly what I need it to do. The filter is extremely easy to install.
