Hot Cams 7.48mm Complete Shim Kit HCSHIM01 for Honda CRF Kawasaki KX Suzuki RMZ Yamaha WR YZ Dirt Bikes

The shim kit is well packaged and the individual shims are clearly marked for size. I checked a few using digital callipers and found the sizing to be spot-on. My only disappointment was that I ended up needing 4 of a particular size, but the kit comes with 3 (this was on a 16 valve engine). In a perfect world the shims would come in smaller increments, but the kit enabled me to re-set my valve clearances to within the specified tolerances.

Did not include 3 of each (some had just one, some had five per) but its enough that itll last me. I was concerned about wear rates so I contacted the manufacturer and they said these will hold up in my kawasaki zx6r. With the shim kits there are just so many applications that we can’t list them all on the site. The shims will hold up just fine in your ZX6R as they hold up well in many street bike applications. They are heat treated steel so there shouldn’t be any issues with them.

the description says they are 7.48mm diameter shins which is what i need for my 2007 crf 250. they sent me 9.5mm shims. luckily i can use these for my 2004 trx450r but i need to adjust the valves in my bike. disappointed. otherwise always a great product from hot cams but here it was the seller marketing the wrong item..

Just finished doing valve clearances on my 01 cbr600f4i. The shim kit saved me heaps of time. There are only three shims per size however and I ended up having to sand one down as I ran out of a size. I did however need to change every shim across 16 valves, and they where all out by a similar amount. The 0.05 increments and range of sizes are appropriate, at least for my bike.

Has good selection of shims, numbers little hard to see but when held just right in the light you can see their sizes. They also give you a little magnifying glass to help see them if needed.

The hot cams kit is in a quality case that locks secure. Shims are of nice finish. Very satisfied with Hot Cams.

Arrived safe and sound. I will have to use them soon and they will be indispensable.

Used this 7.48mm OD kit for my Yamaha FZ07, selected shims I needed matched the laser etched markings on measurement. None were rusty, the foam pad kept the shims from getting mixed up once the kit is shut. Thanks!

Bought for 2007 Yamaha FZ6. The gold standard for valve shims, so no quality issues. Why would anyone mess around with such needed precision. My only issue is the kit could provide more of the shims that are likely to be actually used. I would happily trade the extreme ends of the kit for more middle range shims.

Best purchase I could have made! A few of the shims were slightly off, but a majority were dead on when measured. Excellent product!
