> 24 hourI bought the laptop with another 8 GB ddr4 3200 mhz RAM, the 5500u Ryzen runs a lot better with dual channel and with high speed RAM (3200). With an external app you can change the TDP of the CPU from 15w to 25w easily with no danger. I puts mine to 30w and the temps are quite reasonable and the performance is 40% better. The thing that i highly dislike is the lack of BIOS settings for increasing VRAM on graphics..you cant get more than 512mb and the Vega 7 chip of the 5500u can handle 2gb of VRAM on others laptops. Only because HP put that bottle neck on it.

> 24 hourProduct is absolutely terrible and no one should ever buy one. Not only was it completely choked by bloatware from the moment I recieved it which fought every attempt to either remove it or install any real security on the device but it almost immediately began having issues booting at all. The only reason I am writing this review is that I rediscovered the laptop while cleaning my office and decided to do my civic duty to inform the rest of the world not to waste a cent upon this worthless laptop.

> 24 hourI purchased this unit to replace a model I bought several years earlier. We had been using it even after the plastic the lid hinges were attached to cracked, such that you had to leave the lid open or risk snapping it off.

> 24 hourGot it for my brother whos in highschool. The machines really well made, and light - the upside of being a plastic build. Definitely can do more than just regular tasks. The white keyboard and silver lettering is not the best combo though.

> 24 hourIt’s definitely a functional laptop. Was it worth $500? No. It rarely connects to internet and constantly allows other devices to take priority, it is already snapping on its hinges, and the touchpad never stops sticking. I can not stress enough how NOT worth your money this laptop is.

> 24 hourUpgraded to 16GB of RAM.....$27 bucks. Dirt cheap. Opening was tricky and patience is required. Used wifes stone cleaner plastic chip to crack open the case. Work your way around and be patient. Screws under the bumper strips like others stated. Get them all. Placed new ram in and booted into 16GB of RAM. Benchmark is very fast for a LAPTOP!!!! Very nice. Also bought he Windows 10 and upgraded immediately to Windows 11....FOR FREE!!!! Not sure why the price went up when I paid $469 bucks..... Still worth the price with Windows 10.....Upgrade for FREE!
