I ordered two 2.0 Base stations and they arrived in good time, I was very pleased with how fast the shipping was. as I opened the package though I was very disappointed with how it was packed. One flimsy strip of bubble wrap and that was it. The base stations could easily freely move around in the box they were shipped in. I tested both and only one works. Im surprised that even one works. as for the other one I plug it in and it seems alright for about a minute. it does the usual LED flashing blue then turn green. after that though it flashes red signifying hardware failure. The working one works great though tracks perfectly and I have had no issues with it. just really disappointed in how Amazon shipped these.

These things work great, youll find yourself here because steam refuses to restock these. For someone desperate, paying the extra $50 for the same product with no mounting hardware is your choice. I was in need of a 3rd due to PlaySpace lighting and coverage issues. Ordered 1 and it shipped relatively quickly. Died about 2 weeks in so I sent it back to amazon and requested another one. Replacement arrived with red light of death already appearing, so I am now returning that one with a new replacement on the way. I have found most of these break during shipping due to how fragile they are. Amazon customer support is great and refunds you no problem if it breaks within 30 days, if not good luck with HTC support on replacement. If it survives shipping it should be good to go. Ill update if any more issues occur. No news is good news.

Not much to say about this except it does what its suppose to do. If you want full body immersion you need these and vive trackers. I suggest 4 base stations with a large play space and 2 if your play space is small.

I wanted to buy two base stations for my VR setup in June but Valve was out of stock at the time. Amazon came through with these. If you set them up properly for standing or room experience, they work great. Key point, dont leave them on all the time. The lasers inside spin at extremely fast RPM and you will wear out the base stations over time. Thats very important. With bluetooth this is easy, but wired, you have to manually unplug the power to the base stations. I left mine on for two months and I felt like a complete imbecile. Thankfully, I only play VR games infrequently because Im busy. They still work fine, but Ill be monitoring them over time for stability and performance issues.

Cant mount it on my wall yet and have to wait another week for something to fix it up with. :|

Mine were scratched up and didnt have the film to prevent it that others come with, and beyond that, these are about 30% overpriced compared to a number of other options, and offer fewer features. you get no wiring to plug them into your computer, and even the power cable is cheaper and angled sideways, resulting it unnecessary strain, even if its less obstructive to other plugs than others would be. as the cherry on top, theres no mounting bracket, so if you get these, youll also need one of those. its a standard camera screw, I believe, but mine is still printing out (thank the fact that patents end for 3D printers, am I right?) I think its supposed to be laser based, so I hope these scratches dont affect its accuracy. UPDATE: one was DOA. I suggest you look at a different one.

Cable is shorter and arrives bent up, so it doesnt flow down the wall very well. No mount kit, or stand. You pay $50 more, just to get less. I guess if you absolutely cant wait (like me) then get this. Youll prolly be disappointed though.

Works great as intended. Cable is a bit shorter than standard steamvr base stations.

Now with wide-area tracking, base station 2.0 powers the presence and immersion of room-scale, virtual reality by helping the Vive Pro or Vive Pro eye headsets and Controllers track their exact locations. Features wireless syncing.
