Greater than one weekImproves tracking in large playspaces and reduces the chance of losing tracking from occlusion.

> 3 dayThe base station itself is the exact same as the ones sold by Valve. That is not my issue. My issue is these are $50+ more expensive than the base stations sold by Valve on Steam. That wouldnt be that big of a deal if these base stations from HTC didnt also come with objectively worse accessories. Mounting hardware: Haha get screwed. You thought your $200 base stations would come with mounting hardware just like the $50 cheaper ones from Valve? Power cable: Not only is the cable that comes with these base stations sold by HTC significantly shorter than the ones sold by Valve, but it is also stiffer and does not hang nicely straight down the wall. The power brick is also much larger than the one Valve gives you. Overall: DO NOT BUY unless you absolutely cannot wait to get them from Valve. You will need to buy mounting hardware and have to deal with a shorter/uglier cable.

Greater than one weekThis is nothing more than an Valve Index base station in HTC packaging. And while the price is $50 more than what Steam lists theirs at, you get less in the box. The Steam version includes: a 15 power cable, Mounting Equipment, Regional Power Adapters, and a cleaning cloth. Dont Buy HTCs version unless Steams listing is Out of Stock or unavailable in your region.

> 3 dayWaste of money. The product arrived with the bag opened, the box partially damaged, and partially opened. And I paid for a working product and I got a busted base station that immediately started flashing red when I plugged it in. And I checked various support pages on steam and google that say the red light means it’s broken and not fixable at home. Fast delivery, but a totally unacceptable product delivery

> 3 dayI ordered two base stations and it came quickly and was packaged well. When I got everything out and plugged up is when red flags showed up. One of them had the number ‘7’ and the word “loud” all over the sides in sharpie. The other sounded like a jet engine when plugged in. Both flashed blue for a moment then red, meaning critical hardware failure. On the plus side, returning them was easy.

> 3 dayIf you have a valve index, remember how you get those nice mounting plates in the box? Yeah these dont have that. All you get is the brick and power. You have to buy your own mount. And these cost $50 more. But they work perfectly fine with steam VR with my original base stations.

> 3 dayI bought this 2 years ago but never really opened until April. after using it for a bit the light start blinking red Iv tried everything to fix it even contacting valve I was told I was out of luck. this is the 3rd one to fail over the 2 years (2 valve 1 htc). Sadly cant return it due to out of warranty now but just wanted to give people a heads up.
