Greater than one weekBought this about a month ago everything was fine never touched it once I mounted it on my wall, all of a suddenly I go to plug it in to its power source and it starts blinking red, not sure as to what caused this but now it wont connect to my pc no matter what I do, I heard its a hardware failure but not sure how I will return it if its over the return window time, as it is its just a waste of 200$, broke within a month, currently am contacting steam if they can replace it if possible but well see.

> 3 daySo yeah. It is more expensive and you get less than what Valve gives you. But it works and you can order it whenever. The 2.0 arrived after a week, which was sooner than the 2 weeks they suggested it would take. Ill take what I can get if Valve is out of stock.

> 3 dayWorks with valve index as intended. Excellent quality and I dont know what people are saying about these base stations making whining noises, this was quiet as could be.

Greater than one weekAfter 5 days of using this one base station for VRChat because full-body tracking is the best, the base station started flashing red which indicated hardware failure. It was essentially bricked for those who dont know about the possibility of the rotor just straight up failing. Granted, it did work but not for long. If you want the same base station at a lower cost, just get it off Steam when they restock. They are good at replacing broken base stations unlike HTC with their nightmarish customer support and it comes with mounts and a better power brick. If theyre out of stock, just order a 1.0 since the only difference is a wider area coverage for bigger rooms when it comes to the 2.0.

> 3 dayI bought this 2 years ago but never really opened until April. after using it for a bit the light start blinking red Iv tried everything to fix it even contacting valve I was told I was out of luck. this is the 3rd one to fail over the 2 years (2 valve 1 htc). Sadly cant return it due to out of warranty now but just wanted to give people a heads up.

Greater than one weekThe device itself works fine, but all the mounting hardware was missing from the box, now I have to figure out what I am going to do with this till I can purchase something that should have come with it.

> 3 dayGot one of these to help my VR setup due to Steam always being out of stock. Sad to find it cost more for a product that feels cheaper and doesnt even come with a wall mount. Outside this issue it works fine, pairs with the system, and so far has not shown any issues. I also bought 4 new all mounts anyways as I wanted some better angles from the ceiling positions I use.

> 3 dayIm disappointed with this product. The cord is far shorter than the one that Valve sells, but this one costs over fifty dollars more. I would recommend waiting for a valve restock to get base stations instead of buying this from HTC.

18-11-2024The item was broken and blinking red when arrived. Manufacturers warranty was also out when attempting to get support. HTC and Amazon were very understanding and walked me through troubleshooting steps before reaching a return. Have since purchased another and it works flawless. It even connected to my PC through bluetooth automatically, which the previous one never did.

Greater than one weekImproves tracking in large playspaces and reduces the chance of losing tracking from occlusion.
