After using just 3-4 drops at each tank full up, I haven’t gotten any film build up since. The value is awesome too since the drops coming out of the bottle are small. So a full bottle should last a while (the manufacturer states 100+ days).

Greater than one weekI bought a new small coolmist humidifier for our bedroom this winter and I didnt want to have to go through the hassle of cleaning it and using vinegar regularly to combat hard water scale. > 3 dayBought a second set after using up a whole bottle. It does help keep the humidifier plastic from getting funky. It lasts a long time. It will not prevent your wick filters from getting funky, youll still have to replace those. Its not a replacement for cleaning the humidifier occasionally, but youll have to do it less often.
