I am glad I bought the drops because they work great. My humidifier doesnt get the red film and its easier to clean. I recommend this to everyone who has a humidifier.

I would recommend using these drops. My water is not hard so I cannot say how they would do with hard water. I would recommend giving them a try though.

> 3 dayBefore I tried this product, I purchased what ended up being a highly toxic one that affected my breathing and inflammed my skin. How can that be ok to spew out into the air and then breathe in? I ended up having to toss two bottles of the stuff but first had to tape them up so none could escape and put warnings on the outsides of the bottles in order to protect whomever ultimately disposed of the product. Nasty. I looked for something safe and decided on these drops. I have a large, whole house humidifier that uses the large, white wicking filters. Before using these drops, the filters would first turn yellowy-light-brown and if I let the humidifier sit without refilling water and continuously running the unit for any length of time, the filters would mildew. Now they stay nice and white and no mildew. I never had a big problem with scaling because I use double-filtered water, but, the filters are also lasting longer because theyre staying mildew free and softer, so theyre not getting hard and calcified like before. Im impressed. I am very sensitive to toxins, have asthma and eczema, and have had no problems with this product.
