> 3 daySounds great with 7.1 surround...I often get startled when gaming using these because you forget you are wearing them and the directional sound is pretty good as well.

> 3 dayMy last Hyper X headset had finally started to go after years and decided to go with them again since the cloud was extremely comfortable and had pretty decent sound quality. I saw these were on sale and had surround sound built in so I went for it and needless to say, I am extremely disappointed. The surround sound is a nice touch and the mic quality seems good, solid build all around but why is the headset not adjustable? This leads to someone with an average to smaller head having to deal with the headphones constantly sagging down leading to discomfort over even a short period. Pretty shocking for something that normally costs $150.

Greater than one weekThis is a good headset, depending on your use. If you are using it to listen to streaming media...the sound is really good; but the mic is iffy. I have other headsets that I prefer for clear audio for work meetings, gaming, or audio recording.....this is just meh for those things. I found my headset sound crackled, and I didnt like that. So, simply due to the crackle...I rate it at a 3 star. If it was nice and clear, it definitely would have rated higher.

> 3 dayI like hyperX products but I hate their customer support just horrible in my opinion, but gladly I didnt have to contact them regarding this headset, as its really a basic plug and play head set and that is it, no software support although their software is just horrible but still you cant edit EQ or have presets for different game types or scenarios like movie or music, youre on your own. The headset is not the most comfortable either, I have the cloud flight s and that one is super comfy unlike this cloud revolver I do get irritated because the headset is heavy so after short period of time i do get tired of it. The good thing about this headset would be the 7.1 sound card that you connect it to, it has very accurate positioning and I can pinpoint exactly where the enemy is coming from. Overall, decent quality headphones, but I think its over priced for what it offers.

> 3 dayA review by the gamer son: As the latest entry in the headset line that I have been using for 6+ years now, the Revolver is what I would expect as a natural evolution. It is lighter, more comfortable, and more powerful than the previous Cloud headsets, while offering higher quality of sound both in binaural mode and 7.1 Surround Sound mode. While it is definitely targeted towards gaming, especially with the 7.1 features deliberate spacial awareness emphasis, it is just as suited to listening to traditional media and works quite well with music meant for stereo play. I have only two reservations about it, overall: first, it is a wired headset. That trait does mean that there is no fiddling with power supplies or batteries, but also adds an element of cable management to the use of the headset which the user should be aware of. Second, while the earlier Clouds had a physical toggle switch for muting that allowed you to tell at a touch whether you were muted or not, the Revolver has a simple button which lights up when muted, and is by default unmuted upon plugging in. I feel that this design is a step back, especially considering the logistical difficulties I have encountered in making sure the controller is in an accessible location. Overall, I would give the headset a 4.0-4.5 star rating, and urge HyperX to reconsider the benefits of the tactile toggle mute.

> 3 daySuper comfy, amazing audio quality and noise cancelation. And easily the comfiest headphones Ive ever used. The button to toggle 7.1 surround sound is useful as some of the games I play dont work too well with it, while I prefer others with 7.1

> 3 daySo, I am a little torn here. One of those times I really wish we had 1/2 stars here at Amazon. This is a 4.5 star set of gaming headphones to me. I find them to be comfortable for long periods. My ears do not get overly hot over long periods of use. They are loud and immersive with rumbling bass and really really AMAZING 7.1 surround. This is the first set of headphones I have used where I really get a true spatial awareness. I know immediately if I have movement to my left or right. Or, more importantly, if something is behind me. What a tremendous disadvantage it is to not be able to discern that when gaming. I also appreciate the detachable mic boom if I am not in a group and do not require a mic. Anyway, the only reason these things arent getting a 5 star is value. At $150, there are many Bluetooth wireless headphones available. Heck, HyperX has a set of 7.1 surround wireless that sell for exactly $150 currently. Maybe these sound better or offer better latency. Thats probably the case but I think you should get a deal for taking on the cord. Maybe its just me. Regardless, this is a great surround sound headset. I doubt many will buy it and not love them. I do. Now, back to hunting!

> 3 dayMy old headset was getting wore out and I came across this one. Probably a little more costly than what I normally would spend but it was within my budget and decided to splurge hoping that it would be worth it. And I think it certainly has been. Immediately I noticed it felt lighter and more comfortable on my head than other products Ive used. The bands make it fit snug on my head but the softness of the ear pieces made it so comfortable and I didnt really feel that pressure you can get with some headsets. And it all feels very breathable. Ive had issues with old headsets that make me sweat but these I didnt really have that issue with. The Sound took some getting used to cause It wasnt what I was used to. It felt more muffled than other headsets but the sounds I wanted to hear felt more clear and the surround sound feels very genuine. Perfect for fps gameplay. I never really used the Mic, though I like that the option is there and that I can also remove it. Quality item w/ very few issues and Im glad I purchased it. For me, it was worth the extra I spent over another brand.
