> 3 dayThis is easily the best headset I’ve owned and I recently bought a PlayStation brand one and it beats that one. Comfort perfect. Long cord, great sound. Buttons work well. I definitely recommend these if you are seeking good gaming headphones

> 3 dayBot this as I wanted an upgrade to my $35 Sades (which were excellent for its price but I felt like I could do better). The sound is really, really good, but Im not enough of an audio expert to give a super in depth opinion. Setup was easy, and surround sound is good. The problem is the fit. Unlike most headphones, these have some sort of auto-retracting, bungie cord mechanism, probably some sort of play at one size fits all. However, mine simply will not retract, and without any sort of way to manually adjust, the headset is essentially stuck at maximum size. Though my head is large/medium-large, its still too big for me. The headset puts most of its weight on the area below my ears, second to the tops of the ears. Little weight is put on the side of my head, and literally none of the weight is supported by the overhead strap. The headset comically feels better if i shove my wallet between the overhead strap, and the aluminum frame. Ill be seeking a refund. Only buy this is you have an absolutely enormous head.

> 3 dayI had multiple friends who use this headset recommend it to me. Seeing it was on sale I said why not. I almost instantly regretted this decision the moment I started using them. Even on sale, the audio qaulity is so bad, that it has given me a headache within minutes of use. All of the audio sounds like youre holding a metal pipe up to each ear. With no dedicated driver to download, and no program to balance the settings, this issue is just not possible to solve without just getting a different set entirely. Saying I was disappointed is an understatement. For something this expensive, I would expect something that sounds clear and crisp. But what I got was something that makes everything sound worse. Like its on a radio, or in a tunnel. If you are expecting High quality audio, get something else. If you dont care about quality, then I guess these work fine otherwise.

Greater than one weekMy last pair of Cloud Revolvers lasted for 6 years, only broke due to poor handling. 7.1 is an upgrade overall for sound from the previous set. Mic is rigid so it may not be for everyone but I like it.

> 3 dayThese do a good job of blocking out ambient noise and of sound quality. I used these on calls and the audio quality was more than acceptable for this purpose and at a far lower rate than a comparable Jarba headset. One major downside is that with the angle of the microphone it is easy to breathe into it and this comes through in the audio. Unlike some other models this does not have a wind cover. That being said its not too bad and you can work around it. It is more convenient to have an integrated headphone however so this is a worthwhile tradeoff depending on your use case. They are definitely not audiophile headphones but offer very good value and are will situated in the market compared to the competition.

> 3 dayComfort: You’ll need a giant melon for these to work. My 7&1/4 hat size just doesn’t have enough distance between the ears to get the cups parallel because the cup articulation is so limited. On top of that, the headband tensioner is really weak-sauce. These keep drifting down to perch on my masseter muscles, which is disconcerting and uncomfortable. I really hate wearing these. On an expense vs comfort scale, of all the $100 plus headphones I have these are easily the least comfortable. 7.1 setup Easy-Peasy, and on this set of cans at least, the included virtual 7.1 sounds better to me than virtual atmos piped through the TRRS jack. Sound: With the 7.1 dongle lit up, the bass rolls off and these sound better. In game sounds and voices sound natural and I was able to get the position information that I want in-game...but the dongle is a downer. Just hooked up to TRRS listening to tunes and doing calls on my iPad: No dongle with the iPad, so mute is on-screen which is perfectly fine, but bass is way out front. Listening to Jimi H “Born Under a Bad Sign” you can really pick out the bass part, way beyond “warm” sound towards broken. For $150 these should sound so much better. Dongle & controls: There are no headphone-mounted controls, so you’re left with the dongle on USB. On the dongle you can set levels for mic and headset on a couple of sliders, mute the mic, or turn virtual surround on/off. You can clip the dongle to yourself but there’s no good way to tape it or lay it on a desk because the clip is fixed. The dongle isn’t awesome. I’d maybe go so far as to say that it’s poorly thought out, even bad. Other stuff: Packaging is fantastic. Really nice looking box. $150 headphones with a non-replaceable cord... Really? Ear cups are gigantic. No matter how huge you outer ears are, these cans will cover them.

> 3 dayAnother great headset from Hyperx! I have the cloud 2 wireless and the revolver x is just wow! It is comfortable, has outstanding sound, and just feels right. The mic works great and it has awesome 7.1 surround. The only gripe I have is that the 7.1 messed with discord, in that I couldnt get audio with it engaged, so that was the only minus really. Highy recommended for a great quality headset!

> 3 dayI have worn this periodically from time to time and find that these headphones are extremely comfortable And fit my giant head with ease. The cuffs are extremely large and the bass is excellent. Both in USB and in regular headset port modes, this headset has excellent sound, and the microphone is decent but its volume can be middling at times. Or it tends to pick up things like keyboards. The headset cable is a little short, otherwise it would use the headset port full time as opposed to just on travel. If this was a wireless headset, or there was a wireless version, I would buy it in a heartbeat even at full price. This is a magnificent piece of hardware, microphone aside. For the sake of traveling, I do wish that the cups would rotate, but thats just nitpicking.
