> 3 dayI cleaned the joists and beams thoroughly with a broom and vacuum. It was going to be a hot day, so I did the taping in the morning when it was about 75 degrees. I had no problems with this tape sticking. It was fairly easy to peel and lay out. Curves on warped joists slowed things down a bit, but overall it went pretty quickly. I walked on the tape to seat it. I live in an area where the climate is generally dry, so this is probably overkill (in fact 2 people at Home Depot here had never heard of deck flash).

> 3 dayMy original intention for this was as a moisture barrier between my new exterior deck stairway stringers and the Trex deck boards I also used on my stairs, and I discovered another bonus in the process. On some of the other deck joists where I used a copper brown wood preservative on the cut surfaces, and where those surfaces directly contacted the underside of the Trex composite boards, the wood preservative leached up into the boards and significantly discolored them! Wherever I used this tape, that leaching and discoloration did not occur. Its a bit pricey, but not a bad idea to use on top of all joists and stringers!

> 3 dayI used black Ipe Clips to fasten down my deck, and this tape makes the clips effectively disappear. The adhesion is incredible - highly recommend.

> 3 dayThis was easy to apply. We put it on all of ours joists for a 26 foot long deck. Time I’ll tell if it helps the wood hold up. I only wish it was a little stickier.

Greater than one weekIf youre looking for great adherence and seal performance then this stuff fabulous, but the backing material that gets peeled off is so slippery and slick that it makes application really difficult for one person to do especially if youre standing on a ladder and very limited in reach to keep it in a straight line so it doesnt fold up onto itself as youre laying it down. Recommend two people - one to pull on the backing and the other the lay it flat and straight.

Greater than one weekThis tape worked so well that I had to order more to complete our deck. It even got wet from rain before we put the deck boards down and it didnt move at all. Very sticky but works great. Would definitely recommend.

Greater than one weekUsed this to cover the 2x8 beams under a deck I was building. Very nicely thick and super sticky! Works perfectly to protect the wood. Highly recommend!

Greater than one weekTape stuck quite well and as easy to work with. I thought the length would be more than sufficient, but what with three stringers and all the other places I found to use it on, like railings, it was just enough.
