This product adheres well and has a nice rubberized feel. It is great to cover the run part of stringers before attaching the step board on deck stairs.

Very easy to use + strong adhesive = great for a DIY’er. Highly recommend it, my father has to redo his deck after 15 years and will use this product on his deck as well.

This product is excellent for protecting the would underneath our decking boards. But be prepared to get sticky hands

Works great, sticks well to deck joists, easy to apply, good price! Highly recommend.

Useless. I purchased this to place on the tops of the joists and frame in a new backyard deck. This tape went on easily, but 1 day later, I noticed that it was starting to pull away from the wood. By day 2, it was only adhering in a few places. I had to remove it all before placing the top boards on my deck, and I replaced it from a brand purchased at Home Depot. The joist tape from Home Depot is far stronger and more adherent than this tape. DO NOT PURCHASE!

Extremely tacky. When I removed the deteriorating wood boards on my deck the joists had not been taped. Decided to tape before installing the new Trex. Sticks and sticks well even on weather materials.

The idea is nice, however it is better and cheaper actually to go with silicone or rubber paint, you can paint all the joints including the top (for example this https://www.amazon.com/Liquid-Rubber-Roof-Coating-Sealant/dp/B01EM9GAA8/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=silicone%2Broof%2Bpaint&qid=1634698430&sr=8-5&th=1) for this price. I used them so cannot return

Used the tape on an existing outdoor deck that I was replacing the boards on . As long as the joists are dry the tape sticks well , if they are wet doesnt stick well . I installed a few weeks ago so no idea on longevity but it looks like it should last a long time .

It meet and exceeds all expectations, only issue all the rolls seemed run short measured several times to make sure I had enough for joist on my deck and was still about 4 feet short

I have used this in the past around a pool deck. It was quite sticky and was not a problem using as long as you remove the backing as you go. I recently used it again rebuilding a deck under a hot tub. It seems that bromine used in hot tubs will cause treated wood to break down and rot. After five years I had to replace the deck so I now have composite decking on top with this tape to protect the joist below.i feel confident using this tape will stop any rot below the decking. Although its not inexpensive, I recommend using this product.
