> 3 dayWe are repairing a deck because of the problem that tapes like this are intended to prevent. Several of the deck boards and joists had rotted and needed to be replaced. This tape looks to be an ingenious solution to the problem of dirt and moisture collecting in the gaps between the deck boards above the joists. The tape went down easily. Cutting the lengths of tape before going up the ladder to apply them was a good idea. Its best not to fight the roll while applying the tape--especially when one is on a ladder twelve feet above the ground. The tape is only 1/8 wider than the standard 1 1/2 wide joist. Thats only 1/16 on either side of the joist, so one must be careful when centering the tape on the joist. Overall, applying the tape went quickly for us. Ill add that the top of the tape is slippery, so the deck boards easily slide before they are attached. This is nice for positioning them, but also could be a danger if one is not careful while walking over the boards before theyre attached. This tape is well worth the investment. Dont build a deck without it.

> 3 dayThis tape worked so well that I had to order more to complete our deck. It even got wet from rain before we put the deck boards down and it didnt move at all. Very sticky but works great. Would definitely recommend.

Greater than one weekI made some joist repairs on my 900 sq ft deck. I made th repairs in early August. Based on other reviews I really hope this product extend the wood joist life by 3 - 4 yrs.

Greater than one weekUsed the tape on an existing outdoor deck that I was replacing the boards on . As long as the joists are dry the tape sticks well , if they are wet doesnt stick well . I installed a few weeks ago so no idea on longevity but it looks like it should last a long time .

Greater than one weekAdhesive is very good on dry wood. Don’t expect it to stick to pressure treated lumber that is still wet.

> 3 dayEasy install, rolled into joist for new outdoor deck. Appears to me the sealant/adhesive will seal around deck board nail or screws to prevent water penetration to joist.
