First time terrarium user. I have a hot climate orchid and I was hoping to put this on my 11 gal cylinder terrarium. Of course it’s the wrong size, so I purchased the appropriate size and it doesn’t do any better. My expectations were that the products would increase the temperature inside the terrarium to 85-90 degrees F. However, after 6 hours, it only increases the terrarium temp a 2-7 degrees higher than the room temp, so in the 75 degree room the terrarium is in, I only get to 80 maybe. I purchased the temp control and everything, for nothing. Disappointed, but only because my expectations weren’t realistic, I guess. It’s flexible enough to fit on the side of the cylinder, which was nice, but it only gave off gentle heat. After 4 hours, the side attached to the power cord started to peel off the side of the terrarium. Hopefully I can return it.

This heating pad is fine but expected to get a thermostat along with it. A bit disappointed

I use two of 18x8 heating pads to warm my 4x2x2 terrarium, and they worked well for the first few days, but now (a month later) they refuse to get higher than 88F, and thats if Im lucky. Only a few spots are warm enough for my snake, and the rest of the pads are in the low 80s or sometimes even the high 70s. I definitely dont recommend this brand and wont be buying from them again. Id return them if I could, but I already tossed the packaging when they were actually working well.
