20-04-2025I am new to Roomba but I am forever a fan. It has made my household chores a breeze. I love that it is able to sweep and vacuum under my bed. I love the scheduling feature and it’s capabilities to connect to my Echo. It is by far one of my best purchases.

> 3 dayThe 692 is a great robot vacuum that is easy to get setup and works well. Its a great starter vacuum that has good suction and will run for 90 minutes before needing to recharge. Our main floor is 1700 square feet and it really struggled to clean it all. We block it into half the house and run it, then recharge it and let it run in the other half. The only real disappointment is charging. Many times it wont find its way back to the station to charge and will stop somewhere in the house, out of battery. And when it does find its way back, it will rarely charge. The contacts for charging are too sensitive and if I dont clean them after every cleaning, then it wont charge while docked. In effect, this eliminates the ability to rely on it to run on schedules, as it may not charge while docked and be out of battery when its scheduled to run. Otherwise, very pleased with this purchase, but will buy a more advanced version in the future.

> 3 dayI’ve never been good about vacuuming. I hate the whole process of lugging a big machine around and dealing with cords. I no longer have to deal with that, and my floors are much cleaner than before. That being said, the 600 series don’t have mapping technology and more or less uses a random cleaning pattern. It will alternate between random cleaning and doing perimeter stuff (sweeping the baseboards and around furniture). This can be kind of annoying when you just want to clean a certain area. There are days when it seems like it will only clean where I don’t want it to. As other reviewers mentioned, it also gets confused around dark areas of carpet. It thinks dark spots are cliffs and avoid them. Usually it will end up hitting the dark spot at a certain angle and be able to pass it, but this issue can cause it to get stuck in my carpeted hallway every so often. Overall, my floors are much cleaner and I use it almost every day. But, it would’ve been worth the extra $100 or so to get the i3 or j7, which both have some level of mapping technology.

Greater than one weekI live in a single floor apartment with berber carpets and tile floors, just me, no pets. This is perfect for what I need and when it works it does the job, but... Its like watching a toddler with ADD run the vacuum and it gets sidetracked. It will stop and play with a rug on occasion or just hang out in an endless loop in a corner. Sometimes I come home and its just sitting in the middle of the floor, lost in thought I guess? It runs while I am gone and finishes properly enough times during the week that it does a good job, and it was a good price when I bought it. So I cant complain about the times I have to pick it up and put it back on its charger. The messages I get sent about it being stuck on a cliff and the the odd places I find it stuck are comical enough to make it worth it. Lol

Greater than one weekOverall considering the price am very happy with my iRobot purchase. Likes: - Very good vacuuming and suction over various surfaces - Excellent battery charge. It lasts at least an hour - Powerful and speedy motor. It definitely runs faster than its rivals that I have owned before - Overall pretty well made. Dropped it a couple of times with no issues Dislikes: - It sometimes can get confused and vacuum the same area multiple times. Sometimes stairs confuses it enough to require attention. On the other hand it keeps trying to vacuum areas that are blocked off. However, these are mere annoyances - Some parts like the dust bin door are flimsy and can break. Be careful when opening the dust bin door to empty it. Slightly bend it from the middle to release the door - Dust bin could be bigger. Keep an eye on it as if it gets full, this iRobot may not vacuum as well

> 3 dayI received this on Christmas and on January 7th the side brush stopped spinning, I am so bummed! I took it apart and found some debris but I didnt think it was enough to cause a malfunction. Upon further research it looks like the side brush motor has already burned out and needs replacing.

Greater than one weekOverall I like it, it does a really good job cleaning and makes sure to get every inch of the floor. However if I try to send it home early, it takes another 30-45 minutes before itll go home, and my app doesnt always work. I have my notifications turned on and havent gotten a notification in weeks. Also, when I go into my app now it just says connecting instead of at home, in a job, stuck on a cliff, etc. But it still goes out and cleansing and does it well!

> 3 dayIt does a terrific job climbing up on to my rugs from the hardwood, and over bits of trim between rooms. It manages the cat fur tumbleweeds all over my house. It avoids falling down the stairs every time. I have about 800 square feet on my main floor, and the robot gets that job tackled in about 70 minutes. About one out of a dozen times it will get hung up on my pedestal style dining table. It goes up the pedestal foot like a ramp, it’s wheels come off the floor and it hangs there helpless. Then it calls me for help. No big. I wish it had a lower profile so it could clean under my couch. That feels like a couch problem though, not a robot problem. I occasionally wish I’d splurged on a model with mapping so I could ask it to clean a specific room while I’m not in it. That sounds like a me problem though, not a robot problem. A lot of reviews complain about things that I feel are lack of maintenance. Low suction- replace the filter. Not picking up hair any more- clean or replace the brush. The spinny bit that cleans along the baseboard isn’t spinning- take it off and clean it. Not charging- clean the contacts. The parts are cheap. The maintenance is easy. Take care of your Roomba and it will take care of you.

> 3 dayI’ve owned a few different brand named robot vacs in the past but this one is by far the best one! First of all, very easy to clean all the brushes and dump out the dust reservoir. I shed a lot of hair and it gets caught in the main brush but when it comes down to cleaning it, the mechanism pops out easy and I can remove all the caught hair. The robot is very efficient and thorough, it is slightly elevated and can sorta “climb” things? Due to this detail, it means it can get stuck in things but also has an advantage of being able to vacuum thicker rugs around your home and climb over doorways that may have a bump. The battery life is also insane! All in all, the Highest Standard for robot vacs. Get it!!!
