I had been hesitant about buying a Roomba, but at the same time knew a robot vacuum was going to be the best thing for me. I have two dogs and they both shed. In order for me to stay in front of the fur, I needed to be vacuuming every single day, and although I live in a small apartment that just isnt always feasible. I have been using the Roomba for two weeks now, and I am honestly surprised by just how much I love it. I run it every single day, which does mean I have to keep my apartment ready for its running. PROS: 1. The brush that is on this does a great job at picking up dog fur. I know a lot of vacuums and previous models havent had an actual brush. I find that method leads to a lot of knotted up fur making it hard to clean. Thr brush is very easy to clean. 2. The Roomba is able to go under furniture couch, bed, etc), places where I previously was unable to reach with my vacuum. This has been a great help in preventing the tumble weeds that can happen when you have dogs that shed. 3. Convenience - I dont have to think about vacuuming anymore, I have created a schedule and I just let the Roomba do its thing. CONS: 1. It isnt Quiet - I realize that vacuuming in general is not a quiet job, but when you arent the one doing it, and the job take an hour to an hour and a half to complete, the decibel at which it is completed can be annoying. 2. You do need to prep your house - make sure that things are picked up off the ground, such as dog toys, shoes, electric cords, etc. The Roomba can get caught on these things.

If u have pets their fur will clog the rotor periodically (clean once every month or so). The charging is a bit finicky sometimes but its just because dirt/grime gets on the charge panel sometimes and stops it from making contact. The roomba loves to get stuck under things but this is mostly just cause my house has items that are the exact height for it to get stuck.

The Roomba picks up dust, hair, small areas of dirt and is quite effective. It stops itself at a set of stairs and properly turns itself around to finish the area that its working. I like how when it is finished, it goes back to the charging base.....and if its running out of power, it goes to the charging base as well. Easy to empty the pouch where the dust collects. Works really well and is fun to use. Can also be controlled on your phone through the Roomba app.

Setup with the app was a breeze and I was able to integrate it with HomeKit (Siri). You just have to do a little prep and make sure you don’t leave things out that it’ll get caught or hung up on. Our LVP floors clean up really nice with this guy, and it’s awesome that you can set routines.

I purchased this iRobot during the 2020 Black Friday sale to use at my photography studio. It did a decent job on LVP and the rooms that were carpeted. However, it often got tangled in my area rugs (decorative rugs like fax zebra, faux cow, etc....), all rugs with very low or no pile and not very thick. It also would get stuck on a cliff and when I found it, it was sitting at the edge of a low-pile area rug, not tangled or anything. It just detected the edge of the rug and thought it was a step down. So the cliff sensors seemed overly sensitive. I ended up having to use a regular vacuum because the iRobot was too unreliable. First world problems but it meant I was spending more time cleaning than I was on more important tasks. When we moved states, I brought it home to use in our bedroom because we keep that door closed when we are not in there (to keep the pets out as they are not allowed unsupervised in any of the bedrooms). It gets stuck on the carpet in there and does not do a good job of picking up pet hair. Ive given up on it. Im going to toss it out or sell it at the next neighborhood yard sale. We have a self-emptying Shark for our house that does a phenomenal job. So I guess thats what I will be getting for my studio, too.

The positives: I use it every day. Just turn it on and let it go. One day is downstairs, the next day is upstairs. It senses drop offs so it doesn’t fall down any stairs. It runs for about 90 minutes, gets underneath furniture, zig zags everywhere, is meticulous around corners and grooves it can get into. When it runs downstairs where the base is it docks itself when the battery is dying. After running it several days in a row I have noticed a decrease in the amount of dirt, dust, dog hair and human hair it catches. The negatives: it’s dirt receptacle is very small. Doesn’t hold much and has to be emptied every time. It can’t get into inside corners very well, only outside. There is a fan of some sort that blows as it moves around and it does tend to blow debris around or the little brushes end up throwing the debris off to the side. While it can make it over ledges in the floor, like rugs or wood separating rooms, there are certain rugs it struggles with like bathroom rugs or any rug that has strings hanging around on it as it wants to suck them up. I have not used the remote. Call it laziness on my part. I carry it upstairs on those days and I jus5 lean down and hit the go button when it’s downstairs. Knowing how some of these models are so extremely expensive I am very happy with the performance of this inexpensive model. So what if I have to still vacuum periodically in the corners and the stairs. This is well worth the money!

Roomba was a gift for someone who has a shedding dog. They are so happy with it, picks up all the hair; less work for them.

We purchased this vacuum since our son had the iRobot and really liked it for carpet. This vacuum will go around and vacuum the carpet without getting stuck, but will still leave pet fur behind. I thought that it was doing a great job getting all of the dog fur since the bin was filling up, but my husband rubbed his foot along the top of the carpet after the robot had done its job, and there was still a lot of fur on the surface that I didnt see. I would recommend this vacuum to use when you dont have time to clean with a regular vacuum. It will get a lot of the stuff left on the floor, but you will need to vacuum with something that has greater suction to get a deep clean. If you dont have carpet, I think this vacuum would do an amazing job!

I bought this knowing that there are better models out there that does all if the extra scanning and zoning etc. For my home layout however I was ok with the turn on and leave approach. This unit is exactly that. It simply bounces around and cleans the areas it passes on very well. There is a slight method to the madness as it will eventually go back to the spots you thought it missed. Since I use it when no one is around its perfect for me. I also have mainly flat floors so not too sure about deep cleaning

This is a great little vacuum. It cleans really well, and the battery goes for a couple of hours. It always docks itself easily when done and never misses a spot in my 1100 sq foot condo. It will go over rugs easily and fits under everything with no problem. I have two 20+ Maine Coons, and it does a great job of cleaning up their hair and any litter tracking. The drawer needs to be emptied every couple of days but, its not a big deal for me. I have hardwood look tile floors and carpet in the bedrooms. It cleans both well. It even cleans the litter mat in from of the litter box. This was well worth the money. I bought it during black Friday sales. This only negative is its a little loud.
