I previously made the mistake of purchasing the all-plastic version of this item for a few dollars less. Unfortunately, in a very tight space with a lot of sideways torque (...exerted by the hose) the plastic threads can be easily destroyed. With this one there are no worries, and wrenches may be used without damage. John Guest Speedfit valves never leak, and are becoming the standard here in the US, just as they have been in the UK.

I needed this for my RODI under sink unit. I originally bought an EZ Angle Stop Adapter.. and that was a HUGE mistake. Leaked like crazy and nothing I did could stop it. This part however works like a charm, solid construction with no leaks! If you have a leaky EZ Angle Stop Adapter, this is the answer. A few things not list about this part is that the female 3/8 NPT comes with a nice rubber gasket, so no need to use plumbers tape on it. Also the entire PVC center swivels independently of the main unit, so you can position it perfectly even after tightening it down. Installation took less than 10 minutes.

This should have been a part of water filter as it makes it so easy to install. Perfect connector with great quality

Worked like a champ for a water filter/ice maker tap. Didnt leak and the 1/4 side rotates to match the angle needed, that was a plus. Cheaper than my local home improvement stores buy a lot.

Works perfect and I would recommend to anybody in need. Basically this was the main part I needed after much trial and error with different adaptors on my water filtration system. I didnt use any Teflon tape and no leaks. Very high quality

This is perfect. I installed a new Delta faucet that comes with two long supply tubes designed to connect directly to the water faucets under the sink. The converter kludge originally supplied by the RO company was misplaced so I had a big problem. This valve solved it beautifully. You wont find this at HD or Lowes.

Went on easily, doesn’t leak (despite the high pressure of our city water).
