Absolutely Amazing Work Area. Found it at a bargain at the Amazon Warehouse as Used Very Good.

This is a critical review pointing out things that need to be improved. So please understand that I like this product, but only because of its large work area. Outside of that there are better options. Things that need improvement: - Stronger arms. After only a couple days of use my arms are starting to get weaker and weaker to the point its difficult to keep light weight objects like a piece of wire perfectly lined up with where I need it to be. Im now fighting with the arms and have to play Operation (reference to the old board game). - The stickers on the top of the base plate some how manage to block a significant amount of the flex arms magnetic holding strength. While this isnt a huge issue, it is still an issue when needing to utilize a far corner of the work space. Removing these obviously fixes the issue, but shouldnt be necessary. - The price point of this product is quite high to not include additional PCB standoffs or a heat gun clamp like competitors do.

Heavy duty and well constructed material. Helping hands are magnetic and can attach to any magnetic surface. Plate is very heavy and stable.

Excellent product and customer service. I wish that i had this product decades ago. Alot of frustrating tasks would have been easier to complete.

Love the large surface of the steel plate, definitely give you stability and flexibility to love the arms wherever you need it. The rubberized feet are great too, no need to worry about scraping the bottom or a table you are working on. Only complaint is the thumbscrews are plastic, would rather have it be metal or some sturdier material. Overall, great product!

I purchased this 2 or 3 years ago - and most of the times when I try to use it Im greatly annoyed in how small the alligator clips are - AND THERE IS ONLY ONE SIZE. The clips are really made to hold something less than .25 inches thick - much larger than that and you have to really open the jaws (and thats not easy) - and now because of the steep angle of the jaws (for larger thicknesses) its not a secure connection. Want to hold something that .5 inches? Forget about it. The alligator clips (at least on the ones I received) feel very cheap - and the small rubber sleeves they put on to cover the teeth of those cheap over the counter alligator clips look like they would easily slide off. The vendor should at least provide an options for somewhat larger clips. The most important part of this entire device is where it fails. Absolute 100% garbage if you are trying to hold anything much more than a quarter of an inch. How this thing gets SO many favorable reviews and hardly any bad ones is one of lifes mysteries...
