Sturdy, sharp, effective. The lock feature is strong enough to prevent a small child from removing the knife but I can get the knife out without depressing the lock. But I wasnt specifically looking for that feature.

An Awesome knife especially for the price. Kabar speaks quality and this knife is pretty much top of the line. Sheath is a must.

I bought this as a present for my husband. I arrived quickly and well packaged. He loves it. It is excellent quality at a great price. My son is a Marine, serving our great country for 9 years so far.He was very impressed by the quality of the knife and was blown away by the price. This knife rates a A+ in my book!

handle hilt has a casting mark- silver blemish from casting...not impressed by the handle at all. I am a Gulf War Vet and I thought K-Bar was still a good company.

I have several other knifes that I use for hunting. I needed a trail/survival knife for my latest hunting trip. Knife arrived sharp, not extremely sharp, but sharp enough. This knife is TOUGH. It cuts through deer hide, bone, and pretty much anything Ive put in front of it. Best knife for around $50 in my opinion.

Right out of the box this is a great knife!!!! Anyone who has ever used one in the field should not be skeptical of this item online (we all second guess prices that seem too good to be true) bc its LEGIT!! Awesome knife/sheath combo. The Ka-Bar Fighting/Utility knife is one of the best multipurpose knives Ive found. It is fine quality, durable blade, and the rubberized handle is both comfortable and gives a feeling of secure handling. Best of all the product is well proven over the years through use in our military and it is proudly made in the USA!!!!

Was really excited to receive this knife in the mail. Its not super sharp out of the box but I will need to learn how to sharpen it correctly anyway, so better to start now. Good craftsmanship and I wouldnt doubt that it will last just as many have said.
