> 3 dayWell made survival knife. It feels great in your hand and is good to go right out of the box. I highly recommend this knife to anyone who is looking for a high quality, affordable American made knife.

> 3 dayThis is a classic, American made knife and everything about it is wonderful. It literally comes razor sharp and ready for whatever you may need it for. Real easy to sharpen and holds the edge real well. Just remember to oil lightly after you rinse or wash to prevent rust, and you shouldnt have any problems. This steel WILL rust if you dont oil and maintain regularly. This is my second one, I lost the first one, and its a must have for any knife lovers collection!!!

15-01-2025I got the knife and from the begining I could see that it was a good quality, the handle is very confortable and strong on the bottom to even use it as a hammer. the blade is very sharp from the box, the sheath is the plastic one which is a good looking one, I would rather have a leather one but I did read about the low quality of it. I took it out on the field and had no problem cutting one inch thick branches with two hits.

> 3 dayIm going to sell this knife, because it just isnt worth the price. This knife is only expensive due to name recognition. Its not even the knufe brand they supply to the military. Military Ka-Bars are made by OKC (model 498 I think), & theyre superior in tang construction (although still not great). A brief history. Ka-Bars were originally made by Camillus. When Camillus went out of business (in 2007 I think), a new company bought the rights to the Ka-Bar name. The old Camillus versions were better. The current Camillus company is not the old Camillus, & their budget based knives are inferior. Dont get me wrong, this Ka-Bar isnt a bad knife. However, the balance is all wrong to be a good fighting knife. The Kraton rubbery handle gets slippery when wet, the stick tang construction is very weak compared to less expensive competitors, & the spine isnt thick enough. I will say that it came shaving sharp, & the 1095 Cro-Van steel is excellent. All that said, there are superior knives for nearly half the price. The Cold Steel Leatherneck SF is far superior for about $50. If you want a Ka-Bar, spend the money for one of the Becker models. Those are actually worth the money. This knife isnt. I wish I could return it, but the window closed.
